I started this blog back in August of 2008 for various reasons. First and foremost, I started it as a way to distract myself from my life. 2008 was a tough year for me because it was the year I lost my brother. I started to use crafts as an escape when things got too rough, and it helped. I ended up making dozens upon dozens of ribbon bookmarks and giving them away to pretty much everyone. Crafting, in general, became a bigger part of my life. I've always liked various crafts, but never really gave myself the time to do them much, until that year. With this change, I began reading craft blog after craft blog and gathered idea after idea of things to try. I came to the realization that I needed to find a way to archive my projects, and why not share the projects and my experiences with the rest of the web, and what better way than a blog. Mostly, I created this blog to share projects and charities with people like myself in hopes to give readers a little more escape in their lives.
Some of my favorite hobbies are cooking, crocheting, sewing, loom knitting, bracelet making, and nylon flowers, etc, etc. Some things that I want to eventually get into are: amigurumi animals, scroll sawing, beading, chinese modular origami, and a million other things.
I have a lot more things to share and I hope you take the ride with me. Thanks for reading.
