Dottie's World Wishing You Well

Well this is my last week as guest designer for Dottie's World and I had a great time. The week's just flew by and I'm going to miss it. Thank you once again everyone at Dottie's World for choosing me, it was a great honour to work alongside you for the month of December. Now onto this week's challenge which is 'Wishing You Well'.

This week the challenge is in the theme; After all the over indulgence you've most likely had over Christmas ( a few poorly tummies and heads I guess?) The theme this week is Get Well Soon .You don't have to use those words, but it has to be aimed at cheering someone up or wishing them well . If you don't know anyone who's poorly your creation could be wishing them well in their new job or a new home...basically, lots of positive vibes in this card please AND of course a Charmed Download. Nice and easy?

As some of you know that my aunt is going into hospital to remove a cancerous lump on her breast New Years Eve and I wanted to make a card for her, letting her know that I'm thinking of her. So this is the card that I came up with.

The papers I used are Basic Grey - Eva and the image is Dottie. I'ved coloured her in using my new Promarkers, brush marker pens and aquabrush. The flowers I made up using my new Cuttlebug Asterix die cut. The sentiment has been created on my pc. TFL x

Dotties World Challenge - Red, Green & Gold

I can't believe that it's my 3rd week as guest designer for Dottie's World, it's going so quickly and I'm still really enjoying it. This week it's Nicola's turn to set the challenge :

Well....Its nearly upon us, Christmas 2008! What a year it has been, the good, the bad and the Ugly!!! My challenge this week is going for the end of our festive juices. RED,GREEN AND GOLD....Of course it doesnt have to be festive, it can be any card or thing you like, aslong as you use a download from Charmed Cards and Crafts.

Well I still had to make a card for my DH, so this is the card that I came up with.

The papers I used are DCWV Christmas Stack and the image is Dottie from the Christmas Bundle which you can download from Charmed Cards and Crafts. I coloured in Dottie using my brush marker pens and aquabrush. For the star and baubles, I used gold embossing powder to give it a bit of texture and sparkle. I cut out the tinsel that Dottie is holding and used some fibres which I had in mystash. The sentiment I used is also from the Dottie Christmas Bundle. The gems and ribbon are from my stash. TFL x

New Collection at Dottie's World

Ohhhhh I'm soooo excited and I had to let everyone know. The very talented Louise at Dottie's World has brought out a new collection of images to download. And what's lovely about these images is that if you're short on time, you can print the coloured images instead. Why not pop over there now to have a better look.

Dottie's World - Tag Challenge

This is my second week as guest designer on Dotties World and I'm really having a great time. The challenge this week is TAG's.

The Tag doesn't have to be for Christmas and if you really wanted to make a card it could be the main feature on the card, you might even fancy making a tag book. As long as you use one of the Charmed downloads and have a tag as your main feature the rest is up to you.

This is what I came up with

For the tag itself I ran heavy cardstock through my bigshot using my sizzix die cut. I then ran DCWV paper through it again and glued them together. I then used another DCWV paper and cut to the right size and layered it on top. I printed one of the Dottie images from the Dotties World Christmas Downloads and then coloured it in using my brush marker pens and aquabrush. For the crown, star and wings I wanted it to sparkle a little so I used my embossing pen, embossing powders and heat gun. TFL x

Guest Designer for Dotties World

The other day I was chosen to be one of the Guest Designers for Dotties World for the month of December. You can imagine my excitement as you probably already know that I'm HUGE Dottie & George fan. Well anyway, this week it's Adele's turn turn to set the challenge over at Dottie's World. She wants us to use ribbon and/or lace and lots of texture in our creations. And here is my first EVAH card as a Guest Designer, hope you like it. Oh and why don't you pop over to Dottiesworld and join in the fun.

The papers I've used are Papermania and the image is of course Dottie from Dottiesworld. I have coloured her in using my brush marker pens and aquabrush. I've used my white Inkssentials pen for the highlights. The sentiment is also Dottiesworld and I've added a snowflake brad in the centre. The snowflakes I've punched out and then embossed them and added a gem in the middle. I'm not sure if you can see, but I've added some Making Memories Spotlight sparkle to the dots behind Dottie. The ribbons are from my stash. TFL x
