Tuesday taggers

I am a day late... again... for TUESDAY TAGGERS..... where our new challenge has been chosen by my teamie Teri and its ...HERE COMES AUTUMN.
Yep its another of my gift boxes...... this one is made from scrap thick card, painted a rich orangey brown. I stamped and embossed leaves in copper onto dark brown card and stuck to the top, i glazed over it with 3 coats of sealer.
The silk leaves have been coated with copper embossing powder.... the rose is from my stash of jewelry bits.
I put a piece of leaf patterned ribbon around the side edge of the box top. The picture below shows a bit of the bracelet that i made as a gift .... its all lovey autumnal colours.
I shall also enter it at STAMPINSANITY http://stampinsanity.com/blog/ as the theme there this week is EMBOSSING.

The last DT BLOG HOP of the current term at SMEARED INK

I have had so much fun on the design team for SMEARED INK that i am rather sad to say that this is the last blog hop for the current DT. As from October 1st there will be a new DT with some new faces and some old ones......

We were challenged to make something using stamps from at least 3 of the SMEARED INK sets...or 3 different images..... i cant remember how many images i have used but i used images from.......................

As death.

As nearly everyone knows i am a POE freak..... so he had to be in it..... and graves, skulls, ravens, death.... everything i am so 'into'!

This is a 10 inch diameter canvas.... a large piece for me..... although i am getting used to working 'larger ' now..... i collaged lots and lots of stamped images.... and used only black ink.... charcoal grey water colour and chinese white inktense pencil.

I used 3 coats of sealer and bound the edge of the cavas with black satin ribbon, glued and held firm with upholsterers headed pins.

It doesnt show well but everything has a wonderful texture to it.... i am really quite pleased with how it turned out.... although it took ages to complete!Now you need to visit all the other DT blogs..... any order you fancy, jump in.... but dont miss any of them, cos quite honestly you'll be missing great art..... these girls really know how to stamp in unique and wonderful ways.

STAMPITCRAZY WK #7

This weeks challenge at STAMPITCRAZY is a FREE FOR ALL.... create anything you want with anything you want!
We the DT were given this very sassy image to work with called...DIANA. As i said in my previous post i am having a binge on making boxes at the moment for some pressies i have to get out...fast! I painted my home made box a sort of duck egg blue.... stamped it with a bubble background from DIMENTION FORTH.... and distressed the edges with black ink.
I printed DIANA out quite small.... my box is about two and a half inches square..... coloured her with promarkers and pasted her on my box lid. I applied 3 coats of sealer and diamond glaze to some of the bubbles.

Glamourous isn't she? You can tell its for someone else cant you? A bit pretty for me!

Tellens place

Sorry i am a day late with this post, but yesterday went in a whirl as i brought my nan home from hospital...again!
The new challenge at TELLENS PLACE is BLING!
Anyone who comes here regularly knows i dont do bling in the conventional sense of the word.... so you wont be surprised when my BLING is a black glittered rose and a glittered spider.... not forgetting some black sequins and gems. I made yet another box from thick brown packing card, painted it a shade of orange that i mixed myself.... stamped crackles on it and carefully cut out my water coloured TELLENS PLACE SKULLS. These were then glazed over to protect them. I stuck 2 rows of sequin trim around the box sides and made a black card rose and glittered it.
I found in my halloween stash a black spider and glittered him too.

STAMPITCRAZY, MACARBE MONDAYS AND TUESDAY TAGGERS

I am so sorry that i havent put my Dt projects up on time, so this is a long... very long post.... but this one is on time,as today is tuesday and at TUESDAY TAGGERS http://tuesdaytaggers.blogspot.com/ we have a new challenge choosen by my teamie Emma and its ANYTHING GOES.....
i tried to do something rather different for me.... i used black card and stamped the lady in white... the stamp is from THIRD COAST.... i then used white paint to completely colour that area so i could stamp on to it with black soot distress ink when dry..... i masked and stamped and embossed with white the ivy leaves fron creative impressions, coloured them with chinese white pencil.... used my water brush on the ladys face to blend and blur the ink to give her a misty appearance.... i used a white inksential gel pen to high light and cover my mistakes.... also to add dots and tendrils.... finally i added a white ribbon with a 'love' charm.... its all done on one layer so i can also enter it at STAMPINSANITY http://stampinsanity.com/blog/ as the challenge there is ONE LAYER.

Finally.... just as you're losing the will to live..... here is my STAMPITCRAZY http://stampitcrazy.blogspot.com/ .....which should have been up on sunday but cos things went hey-wire it didnt..... ANYHOW..... the new challenge is RECYCLE OR REUSE.... I reused a recycle logo, mounted it onto recycled card, used an old boot lace to hang it.

SMEARED INK CHALLENGE VOTING TIME!!!

The challenge this week is METALLIC MISH-MASH....... here is my creation..... using scrap!

You know the thick brown cardboard that comes on the back of paper pads or as stiffener when you buy vellum or whatever.... i used it to make a gift box.... and the cogs and latch fastenings.

I used T!m Holtz dies for the cogs and latches.... triple embossed them and stamped into them with SMEARED INK TEENS BACKGROUND STAMP.

The box has had 2 coats of black acrylic paint....inside and out.... and then i rubbed the edges with metallic cream.

The card is very stiff to work with and needs strong glue to hold it together but it makes into a really ridgid gift box.

NO i couldn't....... so i made another atc and a card.

Nearly all the images are SMEARED INK...... YEP... I'M AFTER BROWNIE POINTS..... I WANNA BE ON THE NEW DESIGN TEAM IN OCTOBER!!!! Its just the crown and diamond background on my Poe atc that arnt.

MACABRE MONDAYS

I am so sorry i am a day late posting this, but things have been chaotic here recently with my Nan being very unwell and she was taken into hospital yesterday.
The challenge this week at MACABRE MONDAYS IS........
Monochromatic Monstrosities
We want to see the grotesque and the monstrous, and we want you to do it in shades of only one color. But you can only choose from the following: black/grey, green, orange, or purple.

I used a stamp from THIRD COAST.... coloured with water colours.... and paper from basic grey.

Plain orange and black card stock, and a small bit of black ribbon from my stash.

STAMPITCRAZY wk# 5

This weeks challenge has been chosen by my teamie Nat and its GIRLY GIRL.... could anyone imagine a challenge that was less like me?
This one really came hard to me.... especially as we also had to include a butterfly glitter and flowers.... Dear lord... what next?
Anyway.... i found in my ever increasing heap of stuff to alter this butterfly shaped mirror.... so i mounted it on to grey/green glitter card.... i coloured Barbs lovely image in with 5 shades of grey, coloured some white flowers in grey and added gem things to the centres.... and job done....GIRLY GIRL done in GREYS.

This weeks challenge at TUESDAY TAGGERS has been choosen by my teamie Michelle and the theme is BOOKS.
You can create a book.... take inspiration from a book.... the list is endless.
I have done a large piece for me... the frame is 12x12 and the picture is 10x10inches..... and i havw paid homage to POE..... i really love his stories and poems. My central image is a digi from my very talented teamie at taggers Teri of delicious doodles fame http://deliciousdoodles.blogspot.com/ i printed the digi onto cavas and coloured with inks to tone in with my backing that i stamped using stamps from CHERRY PIE.... mainly although i am sure there are others in there as well. Please come and join us this week.... we love to see what you create.

MACABRE MONDAYS

Happy monday.... my girls go back to school today...YAY..... they have been ready since 6.30am and cant wait to go.
Macabre mondays have a new challenge today and its not cute or pink.... its ELEGANTLY EVIL, and ever since i saw this beautiful vamp image from TERI at DELICIOUS DOODLES http://deliciousdoodles.blogspot.com/ I'd wanted her and this seemed the perfect challenge.
Unusually for me i coloured her with promarkers in 5 shades of grey and 2 of red.
I stamped and inked my background, masked my moon then coloured it with poppy promarker.
I cut out my vamp and stuck her to the background, leaving some of her hair loose. I then inked the edges to give deep shadow around her.
I used wide red ribbon with a thinner back one tied over the top.
I am not known for being ELEGANT.... but i think this is pretty close especially for me.

STAMPITCRAZY #4

It's time for the new challenge at STAMPITCRAZY...... and its a good one.... well for sicko's like me anyway...... its CREATE YOUR OWN TOMBSTONE....... and must include BLACK, GREY, RED and a MOON. I used Barbs stamps.... both rubber and digi..... lots of lovely black ink..... i decoupaged the tombstone..... and used red fabric paint for the blood dripping....... its great stuff for making drips!

My epitaph reads.... MOVE OVER SATAN......

and inside i wrote.... THANKS FOR KEEPING MY SEAT WARM!

SMEARED INK NEW RELEASE BLOG HOP

Thanks for joining us in celebration of our new Smeared Ink Halloween Release.We the members of the Smeared Ink Design Team have got together to show off exciting projects that feature some of the fantastic new images you can get in the SMEARED INK shop today. They have released five new rubber sets and five new digi sets, all themed around the scariest time of the year,HALLOWEEN and hope that you will love them as much as we do! They will also be adding in digi's throughout the month.

This is my favourite set and i was lucky enough to be given POE and a verse to work with.
