A YEAR...

A little belated
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A year...
...A WHOLE YEAR...
...since my last post...!
I can hardly believe it's been so long,
but sadly, it is true.

I've been reading blogs briefly,
not commenting much...
I use Bloglovin, but I deeply miss the good(for me), old google reader.  I'm not too
happy with Bloglovin, but I use it.

Like many others I also spend some time on FB and IG...!

But here I am again,
feeling a bit rusty in the bloggingsphere,
trying to write a post!

In this past year I've been working on different projects.
I am good at starting new projects,
but sadly not so good at finish them!
Hopefully I'll be better at this this year, cause I have a lot of
beautiful projects in the making!

But...
 ...I have been doing something...

Made this tablerunner for the 17th of May...

...been playing with EPP and pentagons in various sizes...

...made myself a Sew Together Bag, which I love...

And there's more...
...but I need to save something for later!

Take care!

SSCS Sent

A few days ago,
I showed you what I got from Annette in Chookyblue's SSCS.

This is what I sent to Lea.
From spying on her blog, I learnt she liked colours,
so I made her this tablerunner in strong and soft yellows,
with a grey fabric (Grey Grunge from Basic Grey, I love their grunge fabrics!) on the sides.
And she liked it!
Well, I must admit I like it too,
so I guess there's no surprise I've made one for my self as well...! :-)

We've finally got a little taste of winter,
and I like it!
I've missed the snow and cold days!
We'll see how long it lasts,
both the winterweather and my liking!  ;-)

Take care!

SSCS received

 Happy New Year!
(And a very belated Merry Christmas! :-)  )

I finally have some time to sit down and write a post or two!
This christmas has been a lovely, but very busy one,
filled with lots of family and friends!

I haven't joined many swaps over the last years, but I couldn't resist
Chookyblue's SSCS since I've joined this swap
since it was started back in 2007.

My lovley partner was Annette from Jindi's Cottage, Australia.
She made me a cute Santa which fits just perfect
on my kitchen tree...

...for the main present she made me this lovely bag,
with two outside pockets,
and two inside plasticpockets , one of them perfect for my cellphone.
The stitchery is a Rosalie Quinlan design, and the bag is a pattern from
Natalie Bird's book Red Home.
Very clever!

Thank you, Annette, for the lovely things you made for me!

And thank you,
for running this swap once again!

Take care!

Susie's by PattyDoo and a little testing!

Hi!
Long time, no see! Again!

I'm just testing how to add photos from the photolibrary via BlogPress on my iPad!
What you see below are two make up bags, "Susie" by PattyDoo, made by a friend on the left, and by me on the right. They were really fun to make!

We used this tutorial:

Have fun!

My September Schnibble Mercerie, done!

Yes, it's done!
Well, almost! It's not quilted or bound yet, but the top is done!
And I'm happy with that!
And I like it! And, yes, I'm sticking to my red and white theme, using
fabrics from my stash!
Want to see more Mercerie quilts? Jump over to Sinta's and Sherri's blogs and enjoy the parade!

June Vintage Schnibble - Dulcinea

Here's my contribution to the
June Vintage Schnibble Parade over at  Sinta's and Sherri's blogs!
Dulcinea

Yes, red and white, again!
I know!
But I like it! :-)

Made my own little twist on it.
Fabrics used are all from my stash!
Feeling clever!
Wasn't too sure about the border,
but I think it works.

Want to see the parade?
Go to Sinta's and Sherri's blogs tomorrow!

That's all for now!
Need to go!
I'm going to celebrate my uncle,
he is turning 95 tomorrow!

Take care!

AYOS - "Hat Trick"

"Hat Trick" by Carrie Nelson using 'Sew Stitchy' by Aneela Hoey for Moda!
Done!

Sinta and Sherri are doing it again!
Hosting Another year of Schnibbles.
And I couldn't resist! :-)
Now I'm looking forward to May's challenge!

Want to see more Hat Tricks?
Go to their blogs and watch out for the parades coming soon!

I took a photo last night with my phone, not good!
Took some new ones today with my
camera.
Much better! :-)

Not too easy to take a proper photo outside when it's a bit windy!
Here's my little princess helping me trying to keep the top in place! :-)

The photos above look a lot better than this below!
I think! :-)

Not the best photo, but ...
Take care!

A Little Sign of Life!

Here's a little sign from me!
I am still here!
I never thought it would take me more than three months to put up a new blog post!
But finally, here I am!

I've had a wonderful week end in Tønsberg,
together with a couple of my best friends, joining a class,
no two classes, with Sue Daley from Australia at Quiltefryd
What a great week end we had! And it ended way too soon!
Here are all the lovely ladies from the sunday class!
Not a good photo (taken with my cellphone), sorry, but it will do! :-)

I will be back with more photos later.
Until then,
take care!

SSCS 2012 part 2

Like I said in my previous post,
the fall and weeks before christmas have been very, very busy.

But I finally found time to work on my gift for Sisbabe.
I enjoyed making this runner, and was a little sad to part with it...but...
oh well, I liked it so much, I have made enough petals to make a table runner
for myself...!  :-)

This is what I sent away to Sisbabe in Australia.
I'm happy to know she liked her gifts!
She sent me a lovely e-mail telling me so! :-)
Thank you!

 Take care!
