No Cards just a cake and a top 3

Hello everyone. I don't have  a card to share today since I must have forgotten how to print out digi images - been at it for about 3 hours, lol.  So, I thought you might like to see a pic of the wedding cake I made for my brothers wedding in March. I was so nervous about this and mum even offered to buy them it from Truly Scrumptious who are the original designers but Stephen and Sarah were having none of it and were determined  I was to make it. So, Erin, mum and I put in many hours of love and hard work and here is the end result.

I have to admit that I was actually quite pleased with it in the end and it tasted absolutely beautiful, even if I say so myself, lol. Now, you can't have a wedding cake without a bride and groom can you?

I thought that Sarah looked absolutely stunning and my brother looks fairly handsome too. Everyone looked great, the boys in their kilts and Kim in her bridesmaid dress. I will add a photo of us all once they come back from the photographer.

And, last but by no means least, I am delighted to tell you all that I got picked as part of the top 3 over at Crafts 4 Eternity. This was wonderful news and I love to hear when someone likes what I have created. So, thank you very much to the team and here is my wee pic to show off.

A Treat For You

Hello everyone. I didn't think I was going to get this one finished last night because it took me 2 hours to work out how to fill in 2 online forms and send that back by email. Every time I sent the email and then checked the items, they were still blank forms. The recipient will probably be a bit cheesed with me today when they receive them all, lol. I think it must have had something to do with using different word programmes OR it could just be that I really need to brush up on my IT skills. You would think that someone who spends as much time as I do on a computer wouldn't have that much hassle, lol.
Anyway, I wanted to use this new image and whilst looking for some paper, found this one that says "A little birdie told me..." so since the stamp set is called "You deserve a treat", i thought they would go well together to decorate a wee paper gift bag. I followed one of the sketches over at Sketch and Stamp for the side with the image.

Ingredients:
Image: 'You deserve a treat' - Crafters Companion;
Papers: No idea because I have chucked the strips from the bottom;
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts;
Others: Ribbon Bow - Susannah Style; Heart Doilies - Dovecraft Tea Party Collection; Bird Cage Charm and Pearls - Hobby House; Glamour Dust on flowers, bow, glasses and bottle; Cuttlebug and Stylised Flower embossing folder.

Challenges:
Sketch and Stamp: Sketch of your choice;
Pile It On: Sparkle and Shine;
The Crazy Challenge: Feminine and Girly;
 Crafts and Me: Embossing;

That's me for today, Think I may have a wee visit to Hobbycraft this afternoon. That's if I don't fall asleep. Wee Stevens 6am starts are killing me just now, lol.

Baby Bunting

Hello everyone. I wanted to do something a bit different yesterday and have had this bunting for a wee while now so thought I would out it to good use. i think it must have been posting my baby card yesterday that got me in the mood. I went online to order some deccys for the baby shower and thought "hmm, I could actually be making some of these" and heres the result. Of course, I still had to order a few wee things, lol.

Not the best pics but def the best I can get, lol. I have used the wee Humprheys Corner stamp from Crafters Companion again and, again coloured with Spectrum Noirs and the papers are Pink Petticoat downloads. The ribbon  that each bit of bunting is attached to was borrowed from mums big box, lol.

I would like to enter this into some challenges: Creative Card Crew - Ribbon; Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes; C.R.A.F.T- Animals; Crafty Catz - Stripes or Checks; Cute Card Thursday - Animal Magic; Cutie Stampers - Wild Animals; Paper Play - Monochrome and Ribbon.

A New Tiddly Peep

I made this one for my friends who are due their second baby on 28th May. They have been told it's a boy - hope the hospital didn't get it wrong, lol.  I am supposed to be organising a baby shower for this Saturday and so far, I have done nothing, I think it may have to be postponed for a week or two because I am felling a bit under the weather at the moment.

Anyway, I have used a Crafters Companion image and sentiment, coloured with Spectrum Noir pens. Papers are Forever Friends; Ribbon from Craft Fair; Flowers are Magnolia and Wild Orchid Crafts. I have added some glamour dust to the flowers and some opal dust to the papers for some extra sparkle.
I would like to enter this card into a couple of challenges. These are Here Come The Boys - Cards for Tiddly Peeps; Crafts 4 Eternity - Something New.

Sparkly and Girly

Back with another card. Now, I am not sure how this post will turn out because something very strange has happened to my editor page thingy. Why do they have to keep changing things? I get soooo confused.
However...I had a fantastic day on Saturday at the Sincerely Yours Craft Show at the Royal Highland Centre. Found out about it by chance on Thursday night and it was great. lots more new goodies, especially my Spectrum Noir pens which I am loving but still need loads of practise with. So, after spending a small fortune, once again, I thought I best make good use of the stuff and...here's the one of the results.

I have used Spectrum Noirs pens to colour the image which is a Whimsy Stamps one - gorgeous don't you think? The papers are First Edition 'Summer Breeze'  - these are embossed and glittery, sparkly ones (gorgeous, but the photo doesn't do them justice ) and sticking out the back of the image is my new die, 'Sophia's Heart' from Cheery Lynn Designs. I thought this die was gorgeous when I seen it on a sample card and just had to have it but I hate to say I am very disappointed in the way it cuts. It has been through the Bug about 20x and have wax rubbed on it and everything and it still won't cut the middle out. Needless to say, I have emailed the shop I bought it from to ask their advice.

I would like to enter this card into a couple of challenges. These are Card Makin Mamas  - Make It Girly; Stampin' for the Weekend - Sparkle and Shine.

Thanks for stopping by to visit

Belated Birthday

Wow, I'm back again and only a month after my last visit, lol. Mum and I went to London at the weekend for the Craft Show at Alexandra Palace. Was a fab day and met lots of lovely people, including the lovely Jacqui, and of course, we had to buy some new goodies...coouldn't possibbly go an 800 mile round trip and come home empty handed, lol. So, I have a card to show for it as I wasn't going to buy new pens and papers and not put them to good use.

This card is going to the wee boy downstairs from us whose birthday I was daft enough to forget about. The message inside reads 'Happy Belated Birthday' and is my stamp bargain from the weekend  - 50p!!I have coulred the LOTV image with a mix of Promarkers and Spectrum Noir pens on Neenah Classic card. The papers are old ones from my stash. The wee greeting came from Craftwork Cards and the bunting... I pinched mums new spellbinder dies, lol!

I would like to enter this card into The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge and I have used this fabby sketch.
