Simon Says Happy Birthday Heidi

Back again. This week over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge, it's Heidi's birthday and therefore, her choice! She has chosen a fantastic sketch by Iris. First of all, I want to say Happy Birthday to Heidi. Next, I just wanted to say that I haven't had the good fortune to meet Heidi, however, I can honestly say that I don't think I have ever seen anyone be as kind and generous as this woman. Every week, without fail, she is sponsoring some challenge or other or giving people weekly candies to give away and chucking in extras galore. Honestly, it's unbelievable! I have been lucky enough to win a challenge which she was sponsoring and the service I received when ordering my choice of prizes was fantastic. Also, not content with celebrating on her own, she is giving away a huge selection of goodies for the prize for this challenge. So... this is one lady who deserves a fabulous day! The DT are hoping to get every follower to enter this challenge so...here's mine!

Now, this is definitely not the best photography you will have seen but...it will need to make do...I don't have time to wait for good light! I have coloured Tilda with watercolour pencils and Cosmic Shimmers. I used oval nesties in the bug to mount her on. I used the masking technique I found on Rach's blog (not sure it works with this one but I like it anyway). The papers are Basic Grey (porcelain - I think). Ribbon is from my stash. The flowers are a mix of Bo Bunny and retro punched ones. The brads are Bo Bunny. The three 'gems' at top left are actually the same as brads in the middle of the flowers with the backs cut off.

Hope you like it. If you stop by to visit please leave me a comment to say Hi.
Once again, Happy Birthday Heidi

Fantastic Service

Hi everyone. I hope you are all well. Isn't the weather awful. I don't have a card just now as I am in the middle of finishing it off for later today. I have been very busy at the weekend with trying to get organised for the decorating thats to be done soon. And we are off to Scarborough for the weekend on Friday morning so I am going to have to get organised for that too. However, Wee Steven started nursery last Thursday afternoon and yesterday he went for the whole time on his own and it was bliss. I was a wee bit lost and then I remembered that I need a card for Mum's birthday so I soon found the time gone, lol!

Anyway, enough of my waffling on. I only came on here to say a huge THANK YOU and also to sing some praises, lol! As I said, it's my mum's birthday on Thursday so, yesterday morning I placed two orders online for some goodies for her (and a couple of wee bits for me, lol)...cutting it fine, I know...but I always do, lol! However, you can imagine my delight when the postman arrived this morning with both parcels!

So...thank you very much to the staff at The Gliiter Pot for the excellent fast service and also to Nikki over at Bunny Zoes Crafts for her super service also. I have ordered from The Glitter Pot before and they were good but this is best yet, lol. This is my first time ordering from Nikki but I will definitely be back again...in fact...I really like those Basic Grey Eskimo papers, lol!

Thanks once again

I Love Promarkers and Papertake Weekly

Hello everyone! I hope you are all well. This is quite a quick post as I am trying to get this house sorted out. Lots of work still to be done from when we moved in! This card has taken ages to make and it's not really anything special either. I have had quite a bad week with having to decide to have one of my rabbits put to sleep. It's a long story but I would definitely say to everyone to stay away from the vet's 'modern day' style of thinking.

Anyway, on to the card. This one has been made for two challenges:

1.) I Love Promakers - Sketch
2.) Papertake Weekly - Fairies/Angels

So...Following the sketch, I have used Enchanted Lily by Pink Cat Studio and coloured her with Amethyst, Lilac and Pastel Pink promarkers. I have also added some Diamond Glaze to her wings and her wand. The papers I have had for a long time. Not too sure about the back one but the strip is from Blonde Moments. The ribbon is from Hobbycrap. The sentiment is from a free Papermania set from a Docrafts magazine and the gems are from my stash. The flowers have been done with a retro punch and an embossing tool and coloured with promarkers to match the card.

Hope you like it. Thanks for taking the time to look and please leave a comment to let me know you have visited.

Hugs
