Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 198

Good morning!!  It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close in two weeks, next Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time). Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC198 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.

I thought I'd try something different for me this week and create a little notched cut-out in the sketch.  Now, you don't have to cut out the panel for a negative die cut look, but it sure is kind of fun!  I'm using some goodies from My Favorite Things tonight - mostly featuring MPD Fancy Butterflies Die-namics.

I started with a Sno Cone Card Stock base and then cut out a panel in Steel Grey Card Stock and then stamped a diagonal striped pattern in Steel Grey Ink with one of the Plaid Background Builder stamps.  I stamped the sentiment from MPD Contemporary Roses in Steel Grey Ink and then added some orange sequins for a fun accent.

There is much more inspiration for you!  Please hop on over and see what the fabulous Sweet Sunday Stampers have whipped up:

MFT November Release Rewind

Hey, hey! Have you seen all of the new and fabulous November products from My Favorite Things?  All of the new products are available in the MFT Boutique right now and the design team is having a little Release Rewind party tonight.

I have a couple of cards to show you using stamps that I didn't have a chance to ink up during the release countdown - first up is a warm and cozy card using Pure Innocence Warm Winter.

I started by stamping her on X-Press It Blending Card Stock and then I stamped her again on a few sheets of Mistletoe Magic 6x6 paper from MME so I could paper piece her clothing.  I stamped the sentiment on a Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-namics in Steel Grey Ink and layered it over some patterned paper I cut out with a Pierced Circle STAX Die-namics.  They layout is MOJO319 from Mojo Monday.

My next card combines a few sets; I used one of the sentiments from Cheerful Christmas Greetings and built the card from there.  This one is super clean & simple and a perfect card to mass produce at Christmastime.

I started with a Nightshift Blue Card Stock base and then stamped on a piece of Smooth White Card Stock.  I added snowflakes from LLD Document It - Holiday Traditions in Sno Cone Ink and then used some snowflakes from MPD Sophisticated Snowflakes in Pink Lemonade and Grapesicle Ink.  To highlight the sentiment a bit, I added a small brushstroke image from Jumbo Abstract Art.  Easy peasy!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club

Hello!  It's Wednesday, and that means it's time for another fun sketch challenge from MFT!  Here's a look at the sketch:

Today I inked up a fabulous new set, Banner Greetings, and a new color combo, CTD268 from Color Throwdown.

I stamped the banner in Razzle Berry Ink on Smooth White Card Stock after cutting the paper using the coordinating Banner Greetings Die-namics.  I cut out the stars with the Peek-a-Boo Stars Die-namics and layered them over a piece of Razzle Berry Card Stock.  I did some background stamping with Sno Cone Ink with some of the element images from Party Balloons and then cut out the square with a Pierced Square STAX Die-namics.

Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for a all the sketch challenge details and find out how you can win a fun prize!
