Ribbon Girl - GDT - April Use any Image Challenge

Hope you are all having a good Sunday rest, I have lots of photos for you today and I apologise now for the quality, I have decided I am not very good at photographing Boxes.  When I first started blogging again I ordered lots of goodies from Mary and Andrea at Ribbon Girl, and was over the moon to get an e-mail from Mary asking if I would be a Guest Designer for this months Any Image Challenge, as you can imagine I took zero seconds to think about it, I almost flew up North I was in such a hurry to say yes.  I cannot imagine a better Company to GDT for with all the lovely Ribbons, Laces and Flowers they sell I didn't have to stint on my embellies its like being in seventh heaven for me.  Don't forget to pop over to the Ribbon Girl Blog  and check out the fabulous prizes and join in the Challenge

Anyway, lets get on to my project for the Challenge, I have made a 4 Drawer Box, I really like making these and Lucys loves them to keep all her precious things in, (if you would like to make a box yourself I have a tutorial on my Tutorial Blog here is the Link 4 drawer box tutorial in case you cannot find it.

I have used a cute Wee Stamp by Whimsy - Flower Fairies there are 2 fairies and sentiments on the stamp sheet, so expect another card using the other fairy soon.

Thought you might like a close up of the flowers, all details and Links of flowers dies etc used on the card can be found below.

A final not very good picture giving a more idea of the drawers for you, obviously there is one on each side of the Box,

Thank you once again Andrea and Mary for asking me I have really enjoyed myself playing with this.

Lovely Lavender

A bit late with my post today, couldn't waste the lovely sunshine and have been working in the garden.  I also managed to get my washing hanging out and it has come in dry, cannot remember the last time that happened.

I am still struggling on with  practising getting the vintage look, I have had some welcome help with this card from the very talented Tracy from Noor Designs UK, I e-mailed her yesterday to ask if I could use her layout for a beautiful card she had blogged this week, here is the link to the card on her blog Scent of Lavender, I am sure you will agree it is stunning.  She kindly agreed to let me use her layout, thanks so much Tracy mwah xxxx.

Tracy runs courses in Houghton Bedfordshire and I have already looked up trains and times to see if I can attend the May class, pleased to find out it is only 1 change and takes about two and a half hours, so as soon as possible I will, putting my name down.

The Papers are by Pion Designs Scent of Lavender 12"x12" complete collection, this collection includes a sheet of Tags (2 are popped behind the image) 2 pages of Borders including Butterflies I have cut the smallest butterfly to add to the peg, it also includes a beautiful sheet of vintage Photos, it is a fabulous collection.

This is a Little Darlings Stamp called All Dressed Up, available from Noor Designs UK , she has been coloured with Copics.

Gesso has been added to the flowers, Butterfly and Peg and around the edges of the card.  Adding the gesso has been a real trial, but I have added it with a wet brush which seems to have watered it down and made it easier to apply, not sure it shows up in  the photos but I was quite pleased with how it turned out.

Birthday Wishes

Hope you are all having a good weekend, I was really tired and cold yesterday really didn't feel like doing anything but chilling, but have woken up full of the joys of spring, pity the weather doesn't match my mood.

Todays card features Lili of the Valley - My Birthday Cake  this little Poppet has been coloured with Copics as usual, I have popped on to a 6"sq base card, the backing papers are from Lili of the Valley Paper Pads which unfortunately are no longer available.  There is a square of Cheesecloth behind the image, which together with the White Seam Binding and assorted Mulberry Flowers are available from the Ribbon Girls website.  The oval Doily Die is an old one from Cheery Lynn and the Round one is Joy Craft Cutting & Embossing Viewmaster Die available from Noor Designs UK.  I have distressed arpound the edges of the Layers and Doilys with Gathered Twig Distress Ink.

Copic Colours:

Pinks: R85, R83, R81, RV0000
Mauves: V15, V12, V01
Hair & Table: E71, E43, E40
Teddy E53, E51, E50
