Have You Ever...?

Image
Have you ever had a doozy of a day/week/month LIFE and just wished for a day that your blog could be anonymous?  Sometimes I feel this way.  Then it hit me.  What if I gave you that gift?  Do you even want it?  I put a poll on the side bar there.  I really want to know so answer...the poll is anonymous!  This is what I would do...every Friday I would host an anonymous post.  The poster could write whatever they wanted.  Names can be changed, no links to personal blogs just an anonymous post to get something off your chest that you might not otherwise dare say on your own blog. All you would have to do is contact me privately at eljayster at gmail dot com.  What are your thoughts?

Proud Mommy Moments-Fun Stuff

"Trick or treat,  smell my feet, give me something good to eat!" Well thank goodness they don't sing that one when they really go trick or treating.  Although, they happily sing it out loud and proud in the days leading up to Halloween.  No, I am happy to report that my kids are like most in that they open their bags and say, "Trick or treat" followed by a nice "Thank you." after.  However, this year, they decided to do some "tricks" for their treats.  It started with Ryan.... Picture that cute little blondie with his blue eyes, in his soldier costume coming to your door and saluting while saying in a firm tone, "Trick or treat soldier!"  He was getting upwards of 5 pieces of candy per household.  Upon seeing that, his sisters got in on the act. From the Zombie Bride:  "Trick or BRAAAAAAAAINS!" From the Pirate:  "Trick ARRRRR Treat" I don't think they got as much as Ryan did, but they still...

Dancing with the Stars---Dead

Image
That is how the show was introduced on Halloween night.  "Dead, from Hollywood, it's Dancing with the Stars!"  with your host, Tom Boooo-geron! Oh and Brooke who didn't get a play on her name.  Tonight, the dances are all spooktacularly themed.  Plus there is also a team dance. David and Kym 1-800-868-3406 David and Kym are dancing The Cha Cha and David wants to add magic to the act, so they bring in a professional magician to help with some basic tricks.  I enjoyed their Cha Cha.  It was fun. Len said it had  lots of tricks and treats and that David turned himself into a dancer! Bruno told him he has got the prestige, and that he was a natural at turning tricks. Carrie Ann said his improvement was phenomenal. She said he was polished and finessed, but that he needed to work on his holds. Scores: Carrie Ann:  8 Len: 8 Bruno: 8 Total: 24  JR and Karina 1-800-868-3410 JR and Karina are dancing the Tango to Ghostbusters...

Ten Things to Smile About

Image
What made me smile in October?  Welll...... 1.  A triple birthday bash  It was Ryan, Lucas-- Emmy Mom's son--and her MIL(who just happens to be my aunt!)  It was awesome! 2.  Getting to spend the day with my BFF! Kristin as Elf #2 3.  A really cool play...I got to enjoy the amazing production of The Hobbit twice this month.  The teacher was sneaky and smart to put that play on BEFORE the release of the movie. 4.  A haircut for me...I really chopped it off this time!  5.  Halloween fun...we did Trunk or Treat and Trick or Treat.  Collectively my kids have eight pounds of candy.  I think I should get a cut. 6.  A wild Rumpus...The first grade did a dramatic reading of Where The Wild Things Are and got dressed up in their "costumes." 7.  Comedy on Pandora...I laugh like a maniac on the road now.  I look like fruitcake, but hey I'm laughing. 8.  Being featured on Shell's ...
