How does you game fit the theme?
We interpreted “You are not alone” in several ways. John is not alone in his grandpa’s haunted mansion, and Rosemary the ghost has a crisis over being left alone, but with reassurance from John, and the appearance of his Grandpa’s ghost to join her in the afterlife, Rosemary is not alone anymore.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
The code, art, and music was made from scratch. The sound effects were free assets.

Super cute and fun to play. Much appreciation for the initial difficulty curve. I'm not...particularly skilled, so I was excited to scrape through to the end. Love how each boss action was very clearly telegraphed.

I actually really dug this. The story is cute and the gameplay is also pretty solid (I'm glad it's so forgiving lol). I'm not a massive fan of the fact that the furniture bounces off each other because it often makes it hard to keep track of the obstacles on the ground, but it's pretty great all the same!
Loved what you were able to accomplish in just a week’s time! The game had a compelling story which and quite fun to play through!

Art and animations are amazing, music is great and story is lovely. The writing is good too, all the interactions and dialogues are very funny haha
The battles are on point, that bullet hell part really surprised me! The hands and objects were a nice addition to this, but some hitboxes felt a bit weird when i played
Everything is very well made, i liked all the details, especially the piano playing!

I'll start by the soundtrack, it remided me of Celeste in a way. Maybe because of the ghost, dunno. But it is very very pretty when it needs to be, and packs the necessary action feel when the time comes. I just felt some of the attacks lacked sound effects. The objects flying around or the dark hands, they could have some sort of audio cue as to help evading.
The presentation was top notch, from the cute intro to the house, to the bullet hell. Beautiful and cohese. I liked that most of the objects were also interactable. Adds to the idea of someone going through his passed relative's belongings. The dialogues felt fitting, I just thought John's traffic jam joke was a bit out of place for his situation.
Also, pertaining dialogues, thanks for making the text complete when I press space. I get a bit anxious when reading if I feel the text is appearing too slow. Some games make the dialogue skip to the next window and that sucks.
Regarding the bullet hell, I just felt the hurtbox of John sometimes felt a bit too big for some patterns, but I didn't test it much. Also, the flying objects are WAY too fast to react, especially the piano.

The art in this game is awesome I wanted to explore the grounds even further. I wish there was more filler between the boss fights like some exploration or puzzles or something but Im sure that was due to the time constraint. Awesome work!

I was expecting something a little more quiet given the content warning. So it threw me off when it turned into a bullet hell game after I thought it was more about relationships. But as an action game it was well done.

i loved the music, plus the writing & dialogue was witty and interesting :) lots of character and got straight to the action :) so good!!
Really brilliant work all round - short and sweet, with a great difficulty curve, cute story and fun bullet hell mechanics. At times I felt that the hitbox was a little bit unforgiving, but since the game is not afraid to fill your health gauge up again it wasn't a big issue. Really awesome work!
