Loved what you were able to accomplish in just a week’s time! The game had a compelling story which and quite fun to play through!

Enjoyed the story and the cartoon graphics! It’s an interesting take on the Tower Defense genre! Alas, I got stuck completing some of the missions.

Have a look at my play-through! Hope it helps in improving the game! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1585164777

Really deep atmosphere, but the unpredictable controls really detracted from my enjoyment so much that I had to stop playing because I was getting very frustrated. It’s not that the game is difficult, the controls often feel unresponsive and overresponsive, it’s never just right. Have a look at this! https://gmtk.itch.io/platformer-toolkit

Hope you’ll adjust the controls so I can play the rest of the story!

Here’s also my play-through video… beware of frustrated gamer! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1585147542

Thank you for playing! I guess you haven’t found Riley? 🤔😁

Thank you for the feedback! Adding animations and some other visual cues for the interactions was one of the most requested features in feedback (and on my development list, below the dead line). It’s definitely something I plan to add into the game when it’s time for a neat polish.

(1 edit)

This was fun and quite relaxing to play! There are some bugs to figure out, as well as some more goals to develop probably! Well done!

Oh! Here’s the video of my play-through, hope it helps out! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1585138867

Uuu!… I’m really curious where you thought the story would go!

Thank you for playing the game and for the feedback!

Thank you for the feedback! It really helps to know what players would enjoy and what bugs they call out! Thank you for playing as well!

Thanks! Glad you experienced it!

The atmosphere is immersive and aligned with the story! Wasn’t able to figure out how to finish the level, but I had fun trying a couple of times!

Have a look at my play-through! Hope it helps! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1581958545

Excellent atmosphere and pacing of the game! I’d have loved to explore further if the game hadn’t crashed!

Here’s my play-through of the game! Hope it helps! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1581942130

It was fun to discover all the secrets of the level! Hope you’ll make more!

Have a look at my play-through if you’d like! Hope it helps! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1581934889

Thanks! Grateful for the play-through!

This is a fun puzzle game to play! Haven’t reached the end yet, it’s… a tad more difficult than I could handle in one go!

Have a look at my playthrough! Hope it helps! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1580905217

Thanks! Glad you got to meet Riley!

Yeah! More levels comin’ up!

Really enjoyed that each person you rescue unlocks an ability! That captures one of the aspects of the theme that came up in our brainstorming and I really liked! Glad someone made it!

Here’s a clip of me playing through the game! Hope it helps! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1580889838

Thanks for the encouragement! Yeah! Your feedback is aligned with the intention we were going for! We really should do a few more levels, like… a cat lady ghost with all of her cats!

Yeah, that we would actually have to polish out and make the text better aligned with the actual situation. Perhaps that would even change to “You’ve seen a ghost! Now get to meet it!” 😁

Innovative take on the bullet hell genre, with a twist to fit the theme! This was fun, and I’ll probably come back to finish that boss!

I know you were there in chat, but if you’d like to see the playthrough again, here it is: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1580081228

Had fun solving the puzzles! It’s a really innovative take on the theme, where a group has to take turns helping each other!

Have a look at my playthrough here! Hope it helps https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1580081228

Hand fun playing your game! Consider doing more levels and focusing on what the game is supposed to be about — is it either about real-time strategy, or is it about resource management? I’m curious where you would take it next!

Have a look at my play-through, hope it helps! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1580072137

Yeah, I rewatched it, it’s hilarious! It’s like I’m the deaf guy in the room reading the slides out loud, after the presenter has said the same thing. 😂🤣

Your game is brilliant! I’ll probably go back and try to finish it this week. 😁

Had fun playing your game! It got a little too difficult, too fast, and then when I narrowly escaped it crushed my dreams! It has potential! You should do an update!

Have a look! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1577215195

P.S. Don’t tell people your age. They can get a little preachy. 😂

Thanks for the feedback! Indeed that camera script is a doozie! Needs fixin’.

And yeah! Glad you asked! I’ll get you in the queue!

Thank you! You’re too kind!

Honestly, you fooled me… But in the wrong way. See, I thought the whole point of this game was that jump scare, which I kind of expected would happen, but when it did, that was it for me. Wish you had communicated that you can actually escape the thing, so that I have something to “Restart” for.

You can watch me play this and… stumble. :-) Hope it helps! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1577215195

Then, my partner played the game… and restarted and then found the maze! Alas, we weren’t recording that one.

OMG! I’ve played through this whole thing without audio and was like “Oh, it would be nice if this game had narrated directions so that I don’t have to read so much”. Then I listen to the recording. facepalm

Chapeau-bas, messieurs et mesdames; de moi, chapeau-bas!

I’ve played this probably the longest I’ve played any game thus far. It’s a trend setter. I might actually play it again, now that I know it has sound. Or I’ll just watch the full recording. 😂 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1577195162

Cheers! You inspire me to continue working and deliver the whole story!

Cheers!

Good job on publishing for the game jam! The game feels unfinished, but I still had fun playing around with it. Finally figured out how to record these sessions, so that it may help you as a game designer! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1576209827

Have you found Riley?

The game has a nice vibe overall!

The first puzzle feels way too simple, the second one I got stuck at because there’s a bug when pressing “E” too early in the game it switches to another character and the game is then blocked. :-)

There are some improvements needed for the controls. And consider respawning at the most recent checkpoint, instead of all the way back at the beginning. :D

Well done! I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the game, the sound design fits the game really well! Hope to see more levels in the future and some improvements to the code editor! :D

Thanks! Thanks for the suggestions! They match my “to do list”, all of which fell below the line. I’m considering adding more content after after the two weeks are up!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks! Indeed, the story goes deeper! This is the only thing I was able to code this week, while also learning Unity. :D

Thanks! I only made the game experience; credit for the visual art is at the top of this page. I’ll make sure I add it to the front page as well!

It’s a creative take on the theme! Felt the game was too difficult too soon, and some of the interactions felt “wonky” to me. Perhaps there are still kinks to iron out?
