Hello there, yes it is me, Barbara Campbell. I am so happy to be a guest designer for the
Huse to Use by Power Poppy!
You can only image how excited I was when I saw Julie Koerber's email. I am honored to be asked.
Power Poppy is one of my favorite stamp companies. Doing the Hues to Use weekly challenge is really fun and if you play along, you may get a chance to be a Guest designer. The challenges have no expiration date.
Here is the one for January.
I have so many of Marcella's stamp sets as well as her digital ones and I love coloring them up. In this case, I used a stamp set for my project, but I love doing the digital ones too. You can make them big or just use a part of them on your project. I have been a fan of Marcella's since she designed for Flourishes. I manage to do the Power and Spark challenge that the team does every month.
They keep my inspiration going and I have learned so much from this team.
I remembered a YouTube video from Allison cope that I could use on this project.

This is the card that I made using these Hues!
1. Cut a piece of watercolor card stock 8 1/2 X 6 1/2inches, score at 4 1/4 ( to accommodate the die)
2. I cut two of the dies from Sue Wilson's Australian collection Background die. The outside border
and the swirl in white cardstock applied strips of green cardstock to the back. That was added to the base.
3. Stamped the image from Power Poppy, Tea in the Garden in Archival ink, Watering can ink.
4. Colored it with Distress Markers, Shabby Shutters, Bundled Sage, Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry,
Scattered Straw. and Tea Dye. Shadows are Milled Lavender.
5. Die cut the finished image with Lil'inker Tag die.
6. I used my EK Tool 0.5 black pen to outline some of the images.
7. Added some Wink of Stella to the strawberries and the frosting.
8. Stamp the sentiment from Power Poppy Sassy Succulents in Black Versafine ink and added clear
embossing powder and heat set on to vellum strip.
9. I applied the sentiment strip at an angle and used multi-medium glue to attach it.
I hope that you are inspired by these Hues to Use as I was. Remember the link never expires and you can enter anytime. Don't forget the Power and Spark Challenges too.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I am so appreciative of your comments, they brighten my day.
