New beginnings

This was the message at the meditation session I went to today. So let’s turnover a new leaf. Here are the last quilts that were completed.

This is a small childs quilt that I created with no pattern.  The quilting is made up, just playing with my machines many features.

A string quilt that I had fun putting together.

This next quilt is from the book half yard quilts from It’s Sew Emma (Fat Quarter Shop).  I made it fat quarter friendly. The pattern is called The Rose.

Another pattern from the above mentioned book. The backing is fabulous!

I will be including my cross stitch projects here on the blog. It is another form of needlework that is very soothing!

I’m well on my way to a Red Cross stitch wall.

I have many more projects in progress.

Happy New Year!  🐸

Aqua strings and a flimsy quilted

Here are nine more aqua string blocks.

Are you sick of seeing my string blocks?

Yersterday I got the urge to quilt one of my many tops. So I put this work of art on the frame. I just love this quilt. It is made up of orphan blocks and so beautiful. I used a rosy colored thread on top and so fine on the back. The panto is bountiful feathers.

And the back.

I am off to my grandsons birthday party today so no quilting. Maybe this evening when I get home. Tomorrow for sure.

Class Project and a pretty quilt

The scrappy quilt was made from a bag of scraps a fellow quilter gifted me. I added the brown diagonal sashing, brown border, then a nice floral border. Quilted with bountiful feathers - a great panto.

I am teaching my wonky stars and house at fall retreat. I already have the large lap size quilt but decided to make this cute wall hanging. This way my students can go home with a wall hanging top. I will finish this up next weekend. The picture doesn't do it justice.

Has been a really busy weekend. Have gotten lots accomplished, 2 charity quilts and a queen size quilted.
