peligrosos.
majo: chao.
TRADUCCIÓN
MALU: Hello Majo! Have you seen the new trend in Instagram?
ADRIAN: Yes! It's a dance from a K-Camp song, its name is Renegade (Lottery), it's a very
good song and it's been in the top 1 in the world for weeks.
ADRIAN: yes! We should do the dance, record ourselves and upload it to a post on
Instagram
So, we are facing a cultural phenomenon that has crossed borders and has generated
thousands of dances, versions, videos and comments.
ADRIÁN: The choreography is with the song "Renegade" by rapper K-Camp, he has
incorporated other movements that have gone viral and also the girl who did the
choreography did a mixture of her learnings in dance school and what she sees in the
network, resulting in a dance that mixes different disciplines and styles.
MAJO: Sounds interesting! We can do the video but unfortunately I don't know how to dance
hip hop, is there another activity we can do together?
MALU: The other day I saw a challenge to eat the spiciest taco in the world, we can record
ourselves doing it and the three of us eat the taco
MAJO: Yes! I saw a video of that challenge, it's funny how they eat the taco.
They make it with Reaper powder and it has crunchy flamin 'hot Cheetos, that food must be
too spicy.
ADRIAN: Girls, I don't like spicy food, hahaha! I have an idea, right now I look for the new
trends that are in social media and so we decide what to do. (SACAR EL CELULAR EN LA
CÁMARA)
MALU: Hey, look at what i found on my Instagram, today a girl painted her dog's hair, that is
crazy!
MAJO: WOW, did you paint your dog's hair? What color?
MALU: She painted her hair pink, then another girl in Spain painted her dog's hair in various
colors like blue, pink, green, purple.
ADRIÁN:Is incredible! how they can put the lives of animals at risk just to gain more
followers or to become a trend.
Some challenges are dangerous, I remember that two years ago the challenge of "El Rompe
Bocas" became famous.
That challenge was too dangerous, my brother did it with some friends at school.
One person bring someone closer that is the 'victim' from behind, wraps her ankles in a
towel or other clothing item, and pulls him to fall head-on.
While this happens, another person records everything with the mobile to upload it later to
social networks.
MAJO: It is true ... The challenge began in Mexico and Colombia but like all the viral
challenges, it crossed into other countries quickly, causing harm to many people, especially
young people.
ADRIAN: Wow, that challenge sounds crazy... I also remember that once in my house there
was a blackout caused by my brother, he was doing a challenge.
This challenge consisted of connecting a charger to a socket and dropping a coin between it
and the wall. This will cause sparks, a good blackout, I remember that it damaged the
electrical system of our house and also caused a fire and burned his fingers.
MAJO: That's terrible! It is incredible how the social media influence videos so much that
they go viral, some trends are good, but there are others too extreme.
MALU: Social media and the likes on instagram can influence young people to act like this
to feel accepted by others without thinking about the danger it can cause to their lives.
This feeling of popularity is the reason that many people do these dangerous practices.
MAJO: there are other dangerous challenges created by series or movies like Bird Box,
taken from the Netflix movie of the same name and which encourages people to perform
tasks blindfolded, such as cooking and playing.
ADRIAN: But challenges that simply seek to do something fun like the Chess Challenge also
go viral on the networks. Parents participate in this challenge by throwing a slice of cheese
at their baby's face just to see how she reacts. It is funny!
MALU: hahaha yes, I saw some of those videos on facebook. they were really very funny.
I also saw some where they gave the babies food for the first time and recorded their
reaction
MAJO: I also remember a challenge that went viral for collecting funds for foundations,
many celebrities helped the cause.
It is about the popular Ice Bucket Challenge, it was a trick of pouring a bucket of ice water on
top, recording the video and challenging other people.
It was a solidarity campaign with sclerosis patients. It started in the United States. I
remember many people did the challenge
ADRIAN: Yes girls, that challenge was awesome. So, What challenges have you done?
MAJO: I did the challenge of getting out of a moving car and dancing. Thousands of people
joined this challenge, including celebrities. Undoubtedly a dangerous practice for road safety
MALU: I have not done any challenge, what about you Adrian?
The challenge was about expelling the cinnamon through the mouth and nose, an action
called "the breath of the dragon."
MALU: Oh I remember it
I looked it up on the internet and there were young people suffering from collapse of the
lungs and respiratory problems as a result of that challenge. It was too dangerous
MAJO: Guys, you have to have control of the ingredients in the challenges to avoid doing
dangerous challenges.
Adrian: I agree with Majo. It was very nice to talk to you but I have to go to class, bye! take
care of yourself
majo: Bye!!
