- A new task force was created this month: the American cinema task force. The task force currently has limited membership and would benefit from new interested members to help with expansion. If you would like to help, please sign up on the task force's page. If you are interested in starting a task force and think that others may be interested in joining, visit the task forces section to see what already exists and what could be set up!
- If you have any questions about film articles on Wikipedia, come by the Film WikiProject's community talk page and start a discussion. We will try our best to help our fellow editors!
- The Film WikiProject's style guidelines will soon be adding a "Marketing" component to guide editors in writing about a film's marketing campaign. Visit the discussion here and provide some feedback!
- Our A-class Review Department could really use some fresh eyes to take a look at the backlogged articles (some of the entries have been there since August!). Our WikiProject is limited in A-class articles (currently at one!), and by speeding up the reviewing process with more input, we can work on further increasing our articles on the path to FA!
- New films are being released everyday, and the future films department now has a tracking process to assess film articles when they no longer fit the Future-class category. Find out more here!
- Our project now has nearly 48,000 film-related articles that have been assessed by our assessment department! Remember to always add the {{Film|class=}} template to a film article's talk page so the project can get a better idea of what work still needs to be done. Below is a table showing a breakdown of our articles by class. If you're interested in viewing our project's progress in relation to other projects, see here.
- Spotlight Update: Eight film articles reached Good Article status in November 2008. No film article reached Featured Article status this month; the last FA was Little Miss Sunshine this past September. Let's shoot for some FA stars!
