Prezzie 1

Hi all just a quickie tonight

I found this little die in my stash and thought it perfect for Addicted to CAS current challenge

I die cut an aperture into front panel and adhered it to card base.

I cut the prezzi three times and stacked.  The top layer was silver mirri card but didn't like it that much far too shiny so I tapped over it with black stazon to dull it down.

No sentiment needed

Thanks for visiting

Trees in a row

Today I found my row of Christmas tree of which I thought had been lost in the ether so here i what I put together.

I used a snowfall background behind the aperture.  Die cut the trees 3 times and stacked them.  Found my coloured teeny weeny gems and stuck a few on to some of the trees.

No need for a sentiment

Please excuse the photo - not too good and need another lightbox I will get round to trying to photograph again and add more pictures if I am successful that is.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come on over again

Let there be peas

For this one I chose to use a world die - I have no idea of origin/make, cut out in two pieces white and dark blue same as the matting

I used an embossing tool behind the world to give dimension so the world is NOT flat lol and placed double sided tape behind.

The pea stamp, sentiment and music notes are by Lawn Fawn - coloured using copics

Merry Santa

Today I put together this card using a large Christmas die unsure of make of this one.  I had already made a couple of cards like this for challenge posts - so busy with DT makes however I have managed to complete the whole of 2023 for one blog.  Yayyyy go me!!!!!

The Santa and birdie are by Gummiapn in Sweden - I coloured just the hat and bird.  I used fluffly puffy stuff from inkylicious for the fluffly part of the hat and sprinkled a little glitter on top  - cant see it all that well in pic

Thank you for visiting and do come on over again.

It's Gingerbread time

Hi all it is time for a new challenge over at Peace on Earth Christmas for Team Diane and this is the moodboard from which gives many options for inspiration

Great selection here to work with.

I chose to go with the gingerbread men.

I stamped him twice but the swecond time I removed some ink from one side of him to look as though someone had started muching him already

I coloured using copics and placed him behind an aperture.  The sentiment I composed in word and printed.

Thank you for visiting, why not head on over to Peace on Earth Christmas to join in with this fun challenge.

Happy Birthday my friend

I have put together a card for a dear friend who is turning 80 in 3 weeks.

I used my Charlie and Paulchen birds again as I love them so much, and cut from front panel as apertures leaving the negative space, after composing the sentiment on laptop that is. I used a greenish, yellowy background for behind the front panel.

I then die cut the birds 3 times, twice in white and the third in the remainder of the background I used. I placed one of the white cut outs back into the negative space.  I then cut off the wings from the other white one and stuck them behind the green one. I used my embossing tool behind the bodies to give the the birds dimension. I adhered them back over the panel using double sided foam tape to keep the body looking plump. Finally I used teeny weeny gems in their eyes but really cannot see them in the photos

Thank you for popping in

Snowy boughs

I had seen someone a while back on YouTube making a card like this and fell in love.  I have not made an exact copy as for one I did not have the same stamps and colours.

For the background I blended black and white very gently, I used card-io stamps, the bird and the bough and creative expressions for the twiggy bits round the edge.  They were actually a tree stamp but just inked the tree tops. In hindsight I could have used my twiggy stamp I recently bought - 0h well for the next one as I will definitely make more of these.

I used versafine sepia for all elements, except the bird, and white brilliance around the image. They were stamped off twice before applying to the card

I used black versafine for the birdie and added white and blue from ink pad.

I used a white gel pen for the snow on the elements, snow flakes and a touch of glitter

Sleigh bells are ringing

I have put this card together tonight.

I cut the deer out of a scrap of snowflake embossed card.  I really do not know what make the deer die is called.  I cut an aperture on the front panel and used a music embossing folder for the black background.  A bit annoyed at myself as the deer is covering up the title of the song - Jingle bells

You can't see the music in the first pic but the second is a close up.  In real life it is easy to see.  I did not want to rub gold or anything like that as it would look messy with the deer across the front

The stamp and embossing are called magic moments - I think they are Tonic studio but I could be wrong

Happy Birthday G

Tonight I needed to make a card for a special guy in my life.  He is a bass player, produces for artists, writes his own songs and has released an album and second one on way.  The G4Bass is a nickname.  I had to download both images from PNGwing,  combine them and of course the sentiments were composed at the same time.  Now I know this is completely digital but it has taken me longer to get this right than to make some of usual cards lol

Thank you for dropping by and hope you come back real soon

Monochrome birthday

Hello everyone - yes it is time for our new challenge over at AAA Birthday and the theme this time is Monochromatic.  I just love working with just the 2 colours.

For my cards I used Ginko die by Charlie and Paulchen, a German company.  I cut it twice on in black and the other in white.  I adhered the white slightly off to the left of the black to create a shadow effect.

The did the same to the tiny punched butterflies, Punch by Vaesson Creativ.

The repeated sentiment was composed in word and printed onto the front of the card which was then adhered to the base card using double sided foam tape.

Now it is your turn to come on over to AAA Birthday Card Challenge blog and join in on the fun.  The DT makes are all absolutely gorgeous as usual.   We would love to see you over there and maybe give a little love to our designers, always appreciated.  Remember we all gain inspiration from each other.

Hugs always

Optimistic Fisherman

Today I wanted to put together a male card for a friend and guess what another set of Inkylicious stamps leapt into my hands.  It wanted to be used lol. I did not use all the stamps in the set however probably will at some point.

I used Addirondack cloud blue for the sky, Marmalade oxide for the sun and speckled egg for the water.  I am a little annoyed my camera wasn't playing at being nice and this photo is the best I could get it.  The rays from the sun looked brighter than it actually is but hey ho I will call it artistic licence.

The sun was a mask not from the set.

Festive holly

Hello once again.  Yes there's a new challenge over at Peace on Earth Christmas. Team Diane. Again anything Christmas goes using this moodboard,

I used the image on top left with the holly and robin for the inspiration for this challenge

For this challenge I double stamped a piece of vellum, embossed on the front and just stamped on the back. I cut 2 apertures and placed it behind for the background.

I die cut some pieces of holly and the sentiment was stamped - I have no idea as to the origin of the stamp

Why not head on over to Peace on Earth Christmas  and join in with the fun.

Meowy Christmas

I am excited to have received a whole lot of stamps from Inkylicious, a UK based company that design and make the stamps on their premises,  Good quality also.

For this one, which I absolutely love, I blended blue and green oxide inks around a circle for the moon and simply stamped the cats on a branch. I coloured the hat using copics and used their fluffy puff stuff for the white parts of the hats and sprinked a little glitter over the top.  I used a posca pen which I flicked over the scene for snow.  The sentiment came in the set which I also love.

I used a black mat to frame it with an aperture in the front, spellbinders die which I have had for donkeys years - had to dust it off lol.

Did I tell you how much I love this set lol.

Anyway that's it really.

Hugz always
