crafting project....upcycling ice creme sticks (popcicle sticks) Part 1

Far away from collecting every stick during the summer, many of them move to the dishwasher, and afterwards into the material stock.
Over the years it adds up to a real big stack, and christmas is around the corner....so I had the idea for a cool crafting project:

to boost the excitement, for now just the start...(in fact I´m a very lazy blogger at the moment, and so I can make more out of this simple undertaking)
Seriously I´m unsure about some essential ingredients yet, and it can take some time to post step 2.

Stay tuned, and have a great weekend

Making a foot reflexology board which can be used as a decoration object..

...or making a decoration object, which can be used as a foot reflexology board .

I bought some big beechwood globes at the hardware store, and also lots of smaller half spheres.
the major part of work is to split the spheres into half spheres, because it has to be done by hand
Fortunately the smaller half spheres are available in arts and crafts shops.

 ..sanding
Then I drilled little holes and put nails into them
the nailheads have to be clipped off

 ..wood glue on it
..and carefully hammered onto the board

finished! ...it can be treated with natural wood oil, also the edges could do with a little sanding..
on the underside I will affix foamed rubber or felt .
...........like barefoot walking on a pepple beach...
I had the idea a few years ago, and both boards I made then are loved by their owners!
I think I will keep this one

Time flies!

Consulting the calendar I get a shock! already 2nd sunday in advent!

Time for a tutorial.... for adults, not for little ones like this...
I have to admit, this a a bigger project, but worth the effort .....

Curious.?........maybe I have to finish this during the christmas holidays, I will solve the riddle then!

creative space....

Teapot - cushion

If you too own one of these beautiful heavy iron japanese teapots, you probably know the problem: on wooden tables they mysteriously leave black marks.....which they don´t do on fabric.

I used some left over pieces of fabric to solve the problem

Looks original japanese, right?
