Tutoring is a craft as old as man, dating back to when people passed on their knowledge of how to... more Tutoring is a craft as old as man, dating back to when people passed on their knowledge of how to make fire and preserve cultures, all the way up to modern-day classroom learning. Tutoring can take place in any context, including homes, offices, and schools. It can be informal (from parents to children) or formal (from an instructor to others). This is to explain that, while schools may be thought of as the sole place where real tutoring occurs, they are not the only place. Aside from academics, there is skill-based tutoring, which is when a person or a group is instructed on abilities such as dance, singing, athletics, and other activities. This guide will concentrate on tutoring in a center. Previously, it was believed that only slow learners required tutoring; however, this is no longer the case, as even bright students receive tutoring geared at helping them improve on what they already know and so increase their scores.
