Have a sweet summer!

My friend Alicia made a watermelon card recently that was adorable so it inspired me to make one too!

I used some neglected dies for this card. I always forget to sponge ink onto my die cuts but I remembered today and did a comparison between inked and uninked...wow! It really does add so much!!

This was a fun card to create! A little different for me to not be using many stamps but that's good, it helps to shake things up often!

(it was a hard card to photograph but hopefully you get the idea!)

Have a wonderful day!!

Day 4 of 30 Day Coloring Challenge #2

Not gonna lie...I am dragging tonight. Already fell asleep on the couch once but I'm determined to see this challenge through! So here's to another day done! yay!

Image is from Unity, For all Your Help Birdies. One thing I'm rediscovering through this challenge is how much I love to color. Sometimes I think I get caught up in trying to make my coloring perfect with all the shading, shadows, etc. and doing this challenge I'm not worrying about it as much and I'm discovering the joy in it again. Hip, hip, hurray!!

See you tomorrow!

Zoe

A while back I purchased THIS coloring tutorial from Make It Crafty. I finally took the time to just sit down and color and try the techniques that the talented Zoe demonstrates.

I think this is the longest I've ever taken to color an image but I so enjoyed and am so pleased with the results. Makes me realize what I can do when I just take the time and am not trying to hurry through things.

I still have more to learn but I think I'm on the right track.

I used the current sketch from Seize the Birthday and turned this into a birthday card with my greeting on the inside~hopefully that counts.

Have a fabulous day!!From Millan.Net

Little Stargazer

This fun little stamp was calling out to me today so I just had to use her!  She is Little Stargazer from Susana Loves Stamps. So fun!!

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with my copics then cut her out. For the background behind her I used my new Unity Christy Tomlinson Distressed Criss-Cross stamp--I LOVE that SCACD is carrying Unity stamps now..be sure to check them out! So, so fun with so many possibilities!!

For my designer paper I used My Mind’s Eye-Fine and Dandy- Tickled Pink. The corners are made from my Dies by SCACD. These ones are Garden Corners.

So funny as this card is totally different than I envisioned it to be when I sat down to make it, LOL! does that happen to you?
Have a great day!

Copic Creations Challenge #2-jeans

Have you seen the new Copic Creations Challenge blog? Very cool! Not only do they have challenges but an awesome design team full of tips and inspiration!!
Their challenge #2 is coloring/shading/blending/designing jeans with your copics.
Ever since I created this card, I've hated it. Do you have those cards? Ones that other people like but you just can't stand? Well, that's this card so I decided to use that wonderful image again and see if I like it better!
So here's what I came up with for my remake and also for the Copic Creations challenge #2. Sam helped me choose the colors for the apron and butterfly. Not too shabby!
I used Jen del Muro's SFYTT for this week~ you can see it here! Well, okay I used it as a starting point! LOL! My oval is too big to add one of the layers.
I like this version much better. And I really concentrated on adding some embellies and a sentiment.....I like how that worked too. Cool! LOL!

Supplies:
card size: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
stamps: Catch a butterfly, TAC Flutter By, on the inside is a stamp a dear friend sent me~I believe she said it was from Unity,

Flutter By Wednesday #45

Flutter By Wednesday is here again!! I simply love this day and seeing all the flutter by's!!
We'd love to have you play along! Just create a card with a butterfly on it and then leave a comment and a link to your creation. Or if you upload to SCS or PCP, use the keyword FBW45.
This week's challenge was to use blues and purples with your butterfly. Not a requirement, just a little challenge if you choose to take it.
The Flutter By Team has done a fabulous job yet again! Be sure to visit their blogs and leave them some love!!

And my card for the week~~ a little different for me but I love this saying and a friend shared this image from Unity with me.

Thanks for stopping by!! The challenge for next week is a special one to me. Your challenge is to create a card with a butterfly and the colors yellow and orange. This is special to me as it's the favorite colors of one of my dear friends who I just haven't been in touch with as much lately since we're both so busy but I wanted her to know I was thinking of her! So I'd love to see lots of yellow and orange Flutter By cards next week!! We'll also have another guest designer then so be sure to stop back by!
