Today you are you...

Another card using a Sweet Sunday Sketch today! This is #39! I found a fun sentiment in one of my CTMH stamp sets, You are my happy. I really liked this sketch and think it will be one I can use often for sentiment only cards!

I totally forgot I had this paper. Isn't it fun to discover "new" goodies in your own craft room sometimes?

You are amazing! Remember that and have a happy day!

Continuing on my quest to use all the Sweet Sunday Sketches in order, here is #38! I am really having fun doing these sketches and it's fun to think outside my go-to-layout and use stamps that haven't seen some love in awhile!

I decided to use an older Stampin' Up set that has never seen ink, You're Sublime! A super fun set that I don't know why I waited so long to use it! I had so much fun with the first card that I decided to use the same sketch for all the stamps in the set! Super fun!

Today I have a card using a cute digi, Love Letter Avery, from The Paper Nest Dolls. I have been seeing cards made with these cute digis all over the web so I thought I'd color one up. I like that they are instant downloads when you purchase them so you can satisfy that *need it now* mood!!

Budgies!

A super simple, quick layout today! I really like it though as it really showcases the photos. We always have such a great time feeding the budgies (parakeets)!

Some friends told me about the Zig Photo Signature pens so I got some to try! Totally love them! It's fun to be able to write on the photos without smearing or worry!

Have a super fabulous day! I'm off to go on a walk with my hubby since the sun is out today after many days of gloomy, dreary weather!

More layouts!

I've been busy scrapbooking! 3 more layouts to share! I really am having the best time scrappin' but I think I will be making a card or so soon~~ don't want to get rusty on my coloring!

Again, not the greatest photos but you get the idea. I used my CTMH idea books for the first two layouts and then used a sketch from SCS for the last one.

Here's the SCS sketch I used for the last layout~

Thanks for stopping by! I will be back soon! I'm excited that I went on a job interview today and I go back later in the week for the second part of the interview. Crossing my fingers that this one works out!!

Have a happy day!

The first layouts of 2017!

I can't even begin to tell you how much fun I had starting my scrappy journey again! I think I might have even caught myself smiling!!

I fought and fought to get decent photos of the layouts but then I just decided it's not worth it. I am a person who likes to share my creations but I'm not going to lose the joy of creating over getting the perfect photo of the creation.

So these are not the best photos but I think they will still give you the idea of the layout!

For all of the layouts I made yesterday I used the CTMH Make It From Your Heart series of books. I love CTMH when I'm scrappin! All of these pages use retired papers and accents from CTMH.

The next two layouts go together. I was so pleased with myself that I stamped on these layouts!! I used the SU Gorgeous Grunge for the little "dirt" spots! I enjoyed using some of my embossing folders as well!

Have an amazing day! Sam took a few days off for us to have more family fun so today we're off to see the movie Sing and then tomorrow we're off to the zoo. Of course I plan on getting in some crafty time too!!

See you back here soon!

Paper Pretties Challenge-Try a new technique

Time again for another challenge at Paper Pretties! Be sure to check out the blog to see how you can play along and to see the other Pretties girls creations!

Our challenge this week is to try a new technique. I struggled to figure out what to do but then remembered I wanted to create a starburst card so that's what I did! I used THIS blog post as a guide.

I used the super sweet Cuddle Me Sophia for my card. Isn't she precious?? I don't think I succeeded in creating the starburst very well, but I tried.

Playing with my Cricut!

I took time yesterday to really sit down and just play with my Cricut and the Cricut Craft Room to hopefully get a little more comfortable with this wonderful tool that just sits collecting dust.

I must say that I learned a lot and I think that I am a wee bit more comfortable with it now and hope to use it more often now. It really is easy to work, you just have to learn the right settings for different paper.

I only used my CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge and I made all these. Not a lot for the amount of time but still it was fun to learn and actually make something! I can't wait to get more of the CTMH cartridges~~they really are awesome and have 700 images on each cartridge plus coordinating stamp sets! Oh yeah..awesome blossom!! I've seen some amazing creations done with them all!

I will be using the snowflakes on some upcoming projects but I did turn the tag and circle into these~

They were so simple but I think turned out so pretty! A little glitter and some pearls were all I added! The best part is that I had fun making them and used my Cricut!

Also wanted to share that since it's a new month there is a new CTMH Stamp of the Month! Remember if you spend $50 you can get the SOTM for $5!!

I have my interview at 9:00 am tomorrow (Monday) morning! I'm so nervous and excited all rolled into one! Wish me luck!! Have an awesome day!

Snowman and Girl

Time for some Whimsy & Stars Studio cuteness!! This cute digi is Snowman and Girl~ perfect for those winter cards!!

I colored the image with copics and a few CTMH markers and then got sparkly!! I used sparkly fluff on the trim, some Martha Stewart mica flake glitter for the snow and then Martha Stewart carrara marble glitter for the snowman. I then paired the sparkly image with some papers from Crate Paper-Snow Day, then added some snowflakes and rhinestones to finish the card.

Don't forget that there is also a sale going on! Happy Shopping!

Have a happy Monday! I'm off on a new adventure today...buying new clothes so that I can start looking for a part-time job. EEK!! So scary after all this time as a stay-at-home mom but we really need the extra income. Wish me luck!

If all else fails-add pink, sparkle and a butterfly!
