Harvest Wishes

Hello!  Back again!  I will be entering this Thanksgiving card into the Challenge hosted by Sharyn, over at the Mod Squad Blog, Word Challenge-Holiday and the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes.

Don't you just love Fall with the cooler temps and crisp fresh air?  I know I do!  This card uses the stamp sets, Harvest Of Wishes and Beyond Baskets, by Gina K Designs.  I fussy cut out the stamped wooden barrel and after stamping several sunflowers (all images colored with Copic Markers) I cut them out using Spellbinders Classic Circle die.  I cut them in half and stacked them up how I thought they would look nice in a big wooden barrel.  ;)   The sentiment was also cut using the same circle die.  The pumpkin was just squared off by hand.  Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.

Hope you are all having a wonderful day!

Enjoy~~

CAS Flutter

Hello again!  Enjoying a wonderful afternoon with my Mom.  Life is good.....knock on wood!

Today's card is a Clean And Simple one.....and if I am honest, I must say, I LOVE it!  Can you imagine that?  Okay, I will let you judge for yourself.  It's okay if you don't care for it, CAS is extremely hard for me to make, so I get it!  ;)

My card will be entered into the Challenge at CASology, Flutter and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Anything Goes.

Taking some heavy card stock I cut a little square and covered it in some pretty Designer Paper, sponging the edges.  Using the EK Success 3 part Butterfly punch I punched out 3 butterflies from musical note DP, I only used the solid butterfly punch.  Adding a Designer Brad and some thin natural twine for a bow I layered them all together.  The sentiment is from Lots Of Lines, by Gina K Designs and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  LOVE the large and fancy font of this sentiment!

Time for a close up!

Well, what do you think.....it's okay to be honest!

Thanks for fluttering by......HA!

Enjoy~~

Determination & Strength

Good Sunday Morning!  Hopefully another beautiful day.  I am going to do a few chores, laundry, grocery shop etc, make some of my world famous Chowdah (insert Boston accent here!).....okay house famous.....and pick my Mom up and spend the afternoon with her.

What an awesome day!  xoxo

Today's card is for the Simon Says Monday Challenge, Stencils & Stamps

Looking through my crafting drawers I found these long forgotten 'masks' aka stencils that I probably just had to have, way back when.  I do know that they were marked down though!  ;)  So I figured this would be a great time to actually use one!  I took one of the larger ones and placed it on some white card stock and then I carefully sponged a light pink ink over it.  It really came out nicely and makes for a wonderful background.  (I know, too bad I covered most of it up lol).  I have this beautiful wood mounted stamp from Inkadinkado, it is full of encouraging words......LOVE it!  I took several different Sakura Glitter and Glaze pens and just 'doodled' over some of the stamp's doodles.  Layered stamped square card stock on a pale pink and then using a Spellbinders Lacy Square die layered them all together.  I also laced a piece of pink ribbon throughout the 'lacy' die, and tied a bow.

On the inside I also stamped this sentiment from Gina K Designs, Poster Board Sentiments.  I think the 2 stamps go hand in hand, and compliment each other nicely.

I will be sending this card to my Niece, Robyn.  She's fighting a battle and is kicking cancer's butt!  All prayers and well wishes are welcomed!

Thanks so much for stopping by, you know I appreciate you!

Enjoy~~

Boo Pumpkin!

Hello Again!  Trying to get all caught up in my posts, challenges and cards.  Hope you'll continue to join me!

My dear friend, Sharyn, is hosting the Challenge over at the Mod Squad Blog, Word Challenge, Holiday.  You may create ANY type of Holiday card, pretty cool!  This card will be entered there and also at My Favorite Things, Sketch Challenge, and at Simon Says WednesdayAnything Goes.  How FUN!!!
I just love using their sketches, I find them very helpful!  You should also check them out, each Wednesday a new one is posted!

And here is my Halloween card:

Not too scary, just enough to let you know it is Halloween!  The stamps sets are, Fanciful Fall and Wicked, both by Gina K Designs.  What I really like about the pumpkin is the Jack-O-Lantern's face is a separate stamp, super cute!  Spellbinders Lacy and Classic Circle Dies, some Stickles, a wee bit of Washi Tape and 1 Adhesive Rhinestone.  I think the Sketch works well for this creation!

BOO!

Thanks for coming by!

Enjoy~~

Jar Of Leaves

Happy Saturday!  Another wonderful day here, the weather is just gorgeous!   YAY!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Stamp TV, Falling Leaves and the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Anything Goes.

I enjoyed making this card, grabbing inspiration from Pinterest......that site is AHmazing!!!

I began by stamping the 'falling leaves' on a piece of card stock, once I liked how they looked I splattered it with some orange craft paint, then I cut them into 3 panels.  I then stamped the jar image onto blue card stock and Vellum, as I knew I wanted to make it look like a glass jar, and what better way to do that than with Vellum?  I stamped 10 smaller leaves for the jar contents, coloring them, with Copic Markers, in assorted fall colors.  Filling the jar with the leaves I then laid the piece of stamped Vellum on top, adhering it with a small amount of Scor Tape on the outer edges, I don't think you can even tell it is there.  I then stamped 4 more leaves and colored them in solid colors--one for the inside of the card.  The 3 panels are popped up as well as the jar.  A bit of jute twine to give it a more rustic look and wha la!  I really enjoyed this project.  Stamp sets are, Buds and Vases and Fall Foliage, both by Gina K Designs

Happy Fall......hope you are able to do what you like on this fabulous Saturday!

Thanks for popping in!

Enjoy~~

Believe

Good Morning!   Just a short little post before I head out and spend the day with my Mom, I am so lucky!

Today's card will be entered into the Challenge at Poppy Sketch #13, with a pop of color, Butternut Squash, Orchid, And Hot Pink.

The bees are stamped using a $1 wood mounted stamp, colored with Copic marker and then I added a clear Sakura glitter pen all over the wings, which I popped up for some dimension.  The honeycomb stamp (or hexagon border) is from the I Do! stamp set and the sentiment is from the stamp duo set, Believe In Yourself, both from Gina K Designs.  Corner punch for tabs.

Thanks for looking!

HAPPY FALL........it's about time!!!  :)

It's Wine Time

Hello Again!

My second card for today (whahoo!) will be entered into the Challenge at My Favorite Things, Sketch Challenge and the Challenge at Simon Says Wednesday, Tag It.

Hubby and I, our daughter and her fiancé Tim, and Tim's parents are all heading out to the Truro Vineyards Of Cape Cod tomorrow to check out their wedding venue....YES I said their Wedding Venue!!!  Just a tad over a year from now my baby will be a married woman!

I love the stamp used on this card, it is by Inkadinkadoo.  It colors nicely and is perfect for our Vineyard weekend.
Designer Papers are by DCWV, Latte.  I used the Spellbinders Classic Circle Die, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder.
The flower and leaves are dies by My Favorite Things, Blueprint #12.  I made my own tag by using corner cutters and a hole punch.

The image is colored with Copic Markers.  I then added a layer of Glossy Accents over the entire
wine glass.

I then added some Stickles on my plump grapes.    A little purple ribbon layered on the horizontal piece and all is done.

Thanks for popping in!

Sláinte!

FINALLY!!!

Finally, I have had a wee bit of time and my laptop is back in the house AND working.  Thank heavens!

Today's first card is for the Challenge at Stamp TV, Let's Keep It Simple Please and for the Challenge at Simon Says Monday, Rock The Technique.

This is about as simple as I can get, NO Layers!  I Used the Masking and Sponging Techniques.  Taking Spellbinders Large Labels Die, I centered the die onto the card stock and then using blue painter's tape (this stuff is AWESOME!) I held it in place so I could sponge a pretty yellow ink all over the inside of the Die.  Then I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and I stamped the pumpkin image twice, once directly onto the yellow sponged card stock and once on a scrap piece of paper, then I cut that out and made a mask covering my pumpkins while I stamped the wheat image twice.  I then stamped the sentiment and colored my pumpkins with Copic Markers.  The stamp set is from Gina K Designs, Heartfelt.....one of my most favorite fall stamp sets!

It feels so good to be back here again, and now I also get to visit your Blogs too, which I so dearly missed!

Thanks for returning I really appreciate you stopping by!

ENJOY~~

Pumpkin Patch And Pleasant Trees

Good Morning!  It is September 1st and I couldn't be happier!  We had an overnight rain, cooler temps this morning and I don't have to water my gardens.  Simple Pleasures and Pleasant Trees!  lol  When I first read this sentiment, I have to be honest, it took me a minute or two to 'get it'.  Funny!

Today's card is for the Stamp TV August Release Challenge, Texture, Texture, Texture and for the Simon Says Monday Boldly Go Into Stamptember

I used the Falling For You and Heartfelt stamp sets from Gina K Designs, just PERFECT for this time of year!   I stamped the fence on Designer Paper and then fussy cut it out, I also layered it on a piece of chipboard to make it nice and sturdy.  The pumpkins and trees are colored with Copic Markers and also fussy cut out.  Using a Fiskars Grass punch I layered rows and rows of grass to give the card more depth, more texture and to have a soft place for my pumpkin patch to land.  The sentiment was stamped and cut using a Spellbinders Tag Trio die.  I also sponged ink on to the border and dotted outline.  A little strip of brown card stock fed through my corrugator to add even more texture.  I used the Swiss Dots on the trees and the Wood Grain on the fence Embossing Folders.  A little ribbon added to hold the tag in place.  And the ever present original envelope!

I must say this was a very FUN card to make and one that welcomes in Fall....it's almost here!  WHAHOO!!!

Thanks so much for popping in.  Happy (almost) Fall Y'All!

Enjoy~~
