Holiday Time

Hello, Diane with you today. I have to admit, this week I was Pinterest inspired once again! I saw a similar card and layout/sketch and it was so beautiful, I just had to make one with a few changes.

I started with just a plain white card stock for the base.
Next came a panel cut from Pearlized Esse White Metallic card stock. I cut a smaller second panel to place on top, from Bellisima A5 Paper Pack.

The poinsettia was made using Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia die. I brushed the poinsettia with Art Institute Dries Clear Adhesive, adding a little bit at a time, then sprinkling with Sparkle 'n Sprinkle Cloud Nine Velvet Microfine glitter.

I added a snowflake from the Sue Wilson Festive Collection Snowflakes. (This item is not in the CCNS online store, but you can email Beverly to order it for you. Email info for Beverly is listed below).

To finish, I tied a ribbon around the two panels and added a sterling silver snowflake.

Just to give you another idea for this card, the original card I saw on Pinterest had greens under the Poinsettia,
no glitter, and no charm...also very pretty!

Join in our challenge with us this week, which is Holly Days using holly and/or a poinsettia, but hurry as it ends tonight! You can find the link HERE.

Dreamy

Hi Diane with you today! The card I am showing you today was Pinterest inspired. I saw several different versions of it, but what I love most of this one is that it took about 25 minutes to create!

I started with a scrap piece of paper I had left from the paper pack Bellisima A5 Paper Pack.

I used a die from Spellbinders Floral Ovals to cut the negative you see. A little hint - use a scrap piece of paper to first cut your negative to make sure it is a design you want to use. I will save the real die cut for another project.

Behind the negative space I added Heavyweight Vellum
using 1/2" Scor - Tape. The corner die is Cottage Cutz Fancy Floral Butterfly Corner, cut from white card stock.

The butterflies are Joy! Crafts Butterfly Trio, which were also cut from Heavyweight Vellum.

To finish, I added White Pearls to the butterflies, corner die and added 3 at the top!

I hope you will give this design a try as it is so easy!!!!

Petunia Basket

Hi, Diane with you today!  This week our challenge theme is Purple Ride.  Now, doesn't a purple bike sound like fun?

I started my card using a pretty A5 Bellisima designer paper pack for my background.  Using So Silk Fabulous Purple 130# card stock, I cut a bike with Impression Obsession Bicycle Die Cut Set.  I added a Memory Box Woven Basket die cut from Pearlized Esse White 105# card stock. You could use Memory Box Bountiful Basket as an alternative basket die cut.

I filled the basket with tiny Impression Obsession flowers. I colored the tiny flowers with Magenta from the PanPastels Flower coloring kit-Susan's Gardens.  The center of the flowers have tiny Black Pearls.

For a pop of color, I added a tiny butterfly cut from Memory Box Butterfly Heart.  A quick note on this die - I die cut it, then I just snipped off tiny butterflies as I needed them, making this die useful in a very different way!

A few greens were added to the basket.  I finished with a sheer bow that I added a Lavender Pearl to the center.

Thank you for visiting with me today!

Isn't this a fun challenge??   There is plenty of time left for you to join in!   Details are here.

Thanks for stopping by!!!   Until next time...

Sweet May

Hello Classy Friends, Diane here with you today.
This week our challenge is an inspiration photo with an option to add Dogwoods or Cherry Blossoms. Being Spring is finally here, and I know my own Dogwood will be in full bloom in the next few weeks, I was inspired to make
my own Dogwood blooms.

Here is a photo of my blossoms from last year.

And, here is my card.

I used Spellbinders Dogwood die, cutting the petals from crepe paper. I inked the petal edges with Fired Brick Distress Ink. The stamens were dipped in glue, then in lemon Flower Soft. Tip: (I wanted to mention, you could use this same die to make a Cherry Blossom, just by cutting and adding an extra petal). I set these aside to dry, then embossed my cream card stock using Darice Cherry Blossom embossing folder.

I cut a pretty a panel from Bellisima A5 Paper Pack using the Marianne Design Large Oval.

The Sweet May words are from the Graphic 45 Time To Flourish paper pad. A little butterfly was added, using the smallest die from Joy! Crafts Butterfly Trio and LeCreme Pearls. I simply finished my card with a bow.

Thank you for visiting with me today...and I hope you will join in our challenge with us...we would love to see your creation!!
