Hi, everyone! Today I would like to share a baby shower card and matching name-frame gift on which I used the North Coast Creations 'Who Loves You?' set, NCC Custom 'Owl Family' Dies, along with the following items from sister company, Our Daily Bread designs: 'Wood Background', 'Noah's Ark', ODBD Custom 'Leafy Edged Borders' Dies, ODBD Custom 'Pennants' Dies, ODBD Custom 'Pennant Row' Dies, 'Pennant Swag Alphabet', 'Hello Sunshine', and ODBD Custom 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies. The nursery theme is owls with the colors of gray and saffron, so I found some chevron designer paper recently at my local scrapbook store which worked perfectly!
The owls and tree limb were stamped with the North Coast Creations 'Who Loves You?' set, cut out with the NCC Custom 'Owl Family' Dies; the tree was created by stamping the ODBD 'Wood Background' stamp onto chocolate cardstock and trimming it by hand so that the die cut limb would blend with it. The 'Welcome Baby' sentiment is from the ODBD set, 'Noah's Ark' and the 'Woo Hoo!' from 'Who Loves You?' was stamped on to a cloud cut from the ODBD Custom 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies. The hills on both the card and frame were cut with the ODBD Custom 'Leafy Edged Borders' Dies.
The sun was created with a small circle die; the smiley face was stamped with the 'Hello Sunshine' set; the words were stamped one letter at a time with the ODBD 'Pennant Swag Alphabet' set; the sun rays were die cut from both the ODBD Custom 'Pennants' Dies and the ODBD Custom 'Pennant Swag' Dies. The clouds were cut from the ODBD Custom 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies then embossed with a chevron embossing folder; the same cloud die was used to make a sponging template for the sky background. The chevron banner was cut from the ODBD Custom 'Pennants' Dies and yellow baker's twine was knotted and glued on to hang from the tree branches.

To The Lovebirds
Hi, everyone!! This week's Featured Stamper is Penny Strawberry.....congrats, Penny!! I chose this gorgeous CAS card to re-create. I was originally going to do an all white card like Penny's but once I got to my room, I saw my pack of ODBD 'Vintage Ephemera' Paper Collection and thought it would be elegant for an anniversary card. The curved edges were cut with the ODBD Custom 'Leafy Edged Border' Dies; the flower was cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Pretty Posies' Dies; the sentiment is from the 'To The Lovebirds' set.
Thanks so much for visiting with me!

Hope Anchors the Soul
Happy Saturday, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from one of the abstract paintings on the Osnat Fine Art Etsy store.....I fell in love with the gray and teal colors of this painting. There were so many paintings about the sea, so I went with a nautical theme. For my card, the image from 'Anchor the Soul' by Our Daily Bread designs was stamped in gray, then overstamped in teal with the 'Fishing Net Background' (after stamping the card base, I huffed on the stamp to get a lighter impression of the net over the image.) The anchor was fussy cut, a hole pierced, then baker's twine was threaded through it. Other than cutting out the anchor, this was a very easy, quick card.
Thanks for visiting!!

Go With All Your Heart
Hello! Today's Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use some sort of punctuation on your project....my card has a comma and a period. Today I would like to share a birthday card for one of my brothers, who requested something colorful...I immediately thought of creating a sunset, so I chose the North Coast Creations set, 'Sail Away' plus the ODBD Custom 'Sunburst Background' Die. The image was stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then colored with both markers and watercoloring. The circle was paper pierced by hand but the background was pierced by the Sunburst die...yay!

Doily Blessings
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Linda aka Doodledop...congrats, Linda!! I chose this awesome medallion card to case using the 'Doily Blessings' set by Our Daily Bread designs. I used cantaloupe ink instead of olive, but kept the design as close as possible. I did add baker's twine since mine looked a bit plain.

Wisteria Lily Blessings
Hi, everyone! Today's Technique Lover's Challenge over at Splitcoast is 'Floral Frenzy'...one last hurrah for flowers before autumn sets in! For my card, I have used the Stargazer Lily image from the 'Beauty' set, a sentiment from 'Flourished Verses', and one of the border dies from the ODBD Custom 'Leafy Edged Borders' Dies. I don't know if there are real lilies that are purple, but I was in the mood for Wisteria Wonder ink, so here they are! :) The ivory panel was first cut with the border die, then stenciled in green and purple. The lily was stamped twice, one of the lilies was popped up for dimension. I used watercoloring since I don't have fancy blending markers. I had originally stamped the sentiment on the ivory panel, but I must have been cross-eyed and stamped it crooked, even using my Stampamajig...ugh!! So, I did a cover-up with the ODBD Custom 'Ovals' and 'Stitched Ovals' Dies instead. The card is not balanced well, but the image was already glued down and I couldn't tolerate a visibly crooked sentiment!!

Zentangle, anyone?
Happy Saturday, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast is all about Zentagle.....I have to confess, I nearly went into a panic since I am no artist and don't have much of an imagination. I like math, rules, and problems which need to be solved, etc.....coming up with something out of thin air is quite difficult for me. However, after watching the video provided by Lydia, I realized that there was no need to panic and that I could do this! This piece of zentangle art gave me the added inspiration I needed. I started out cutting a white panel in two with the ODBD Custom 'Leafy Edged Borders' Dies, paper pierced the top layer, used the Zentangle technique on the bottom panel and sponged it green. The lady bugs were stamped with the 'Butterfly and Bugs' set then cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Butterfly and Bugs' Dies. The sentiment is from 'Mini Tags Sentiments' and was cut with a word window punch.
Thanks for stopping by!

ODBD Pumpkin Tea Light Holder
Happy Friday, everyone!! Today's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is to include a pumpkin in your design. This tea-light holder was created about five years ago, but I never posted it anywhere. Looks like today is the day!
This 'Pumpkin' single stamp and ODBD Custom 'Pumpkin Die' from Our Daily Bread designs were perfect to make a votive holder! I stamped, colored, and cut out three pumpkins, cut off the bottom leaf and adhered it back on so that the bottom edge was straight, so that it would stand up straight. The curly-q vines of the pumpkin were perfectly lined up so that I could attach each piece together by weaving the vines together! I did put a tiny piece of scotch tape on the insides of the pumpkins as well, so that the pieces wouldn't move. A battery powered votive light was then dropped into the center....isn't it cute?! If I were to give this away, I would probably add a bottom support piece as well, but this little guy will stay in my stamp room for now!

September Mid-Month Release for Our Daily Bread designs!
Hi, everyone!! Since there are so many new stamps and dies to share this month, Our Daily Bread designs is having a Mid-Month New Release party!! See all of the Mid-Month Release items HERE!
Below are the new and previously released items featured in my samples today:
My first sample features the new 'Beauty' set, along with the ODBD Custom 'Vintage Flourish Pattern' Dies, the ODBD Custom 'Vintage Labels' Dies, and a pre-printed sentiment from the ODBD 'Chalkboard' Paper Collection. The lily image from 'Beauty' was stamped three times, then different portions were cut out and popped up for dimension, including each stamen. The white layer peeking through was stamped with the lily image with marigold ink. To coordinate with the black ribbon and framing, I chose to cut out one of the sentiments from the 'Chalkboard Collection' using the smallest die from the ODBD Custom 'Vintage Flourish Pattern' Dies and matted with the ODBD Custom 'Vintage Labels' Dies.
My second card features the new 'Plant a Garden' set, along with the 'Gingham Background' stamp, ODBD Custom 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies, and the ODBD Custom 'Fence' Die. Nothing fancy with this one....the Gingham Background was used on the sky and grass, the veggie basket (and extra carrots) from 'Plant a Garden' were fussy cut, then the basket was popped up with foam tape over a small piece of burlap.
If you'd like a chance to win some stamps from Our Daily Bread designs, please follow the instructions below:

Inspiration Exists
Hi, everyone! Just wanted to share a card I made over the weekend for my niece's birthday. She requested purple, green, and black....no problem! Usually it takes me a while to design a card, but this time I instantly thought of the following items from Our Daily Bread Designs which would work together: the awesome butterfly from 'Boho Blessings' (cut out with the largest of the ODBD Custom 'Fancy Fritillary' Dies), the leaf pattern from the 'Beautiful Boho' Paper Collection, the ODBD Custom 'Boho Background' Die, a quote from 'Quote Collection 4', individual letters from the 'Pennant Row Alphabet' set, and the ODBD Custom 'Pennant Row' Dies set. After cutting the ODBD Custom 'Boho Background' out of black cardstock, I cut a TON of little pieces of foam tape in order to pop it up over the designer paper....so worth the time!! The pennant and butterfly were popped up as well. (I am a foam tape addict!!) My niece is an aspiring artist, which is why I chose this particular quote and the word 'Inspire'.

Birthday Hoot!
Hi, everyone! Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Maria Patrick aka Maria P......congrats, Maria!! I chose this adorable card to recreate, using the 'Who Loves You?' set by North Coast Creations. I transformed her scene into a clean and simple version so that I could finish before going to church. The owl and branch were stamped then cut out with the NCC Custom 'Owl Family' Dies. The clouds were sponged over a cloud cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies and the grass was sponged over a negative cut from the ODBD Custom 'Ovals' Dies. I curved the grass portion to mimic Maria's design and added red baker's twine as well.

Two Wheels Move the Soul
Happy Saturday, everyone!!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from a Pinterest board of custom cakes......I chose this awesome Harley Davidson cake for inspiration to make a birthday card for my uncle. I used the North Coast Creations Custom 'Happy Birthday' Die and 'King of the Road' set, also by NCC. The Harley was stamped onto the white circle, covered with a scratch paper mask, then flames were stenciled over it (while the circle was still in the die). The NCC Custom 'Happy Birthday' Die and embossed banner were cut from metallic gray paper. So that this card could be mailed with one stamp, I used a hole punch and made three black 'faux brads' as an embellishment. I feel a bit of satisfaction knowing this only took one stamp to mail....yay!!! :)

Our Daily Bread designs September New Release Party!
Hey, everyone! Welcome to the September New Release party for Our Daily Bread designs!!! Though I only have one new stamp set to show you, check out the entire new release HERE! If you'd like to be one of three who win a gift certificate to spend at Our Daily Bread designs, please follow the instructions below:
* Julie * Cathy * Grace * Chris * Amy * Sandee * Dawn * Lisa * * Loretta * Sabrina * Silke * Lori * America *
Here are the new and previously released items from ODBD which I have used for my samples today:
My first card started as a shaped circle card (with the fold un-cut at the top); a small strip was trimmed and adhered across the top edge then the baker's twine camouflaged the added strip. The bottom edge of the card base was trimmed straight across. Two of the clown fish from the 'Deep Waters' set were fussy cut out of the underwater stamp scene. The coral was cut from the ODBD Custom 'Fancy Foliage' Dies and the other plant-life was cut from the ODBD Custom 'Asters and Leaves' Dies. Two little heart pearls and some glimmer mist was added as a finishing touch.
My second card features the same stamp set, 'Deep Waters', but this time I made a shaker card. When you order stamps from Our Daily Bread designs, the cling-mount stamps are on a clear acrylic sheet, right? Did you know that those are perfect to make windows on your projects? They die cut very easily....woo hoo!! So, I cut a navy blue frame with circle dies, added silver eyelets, then adhered the acrylic circle to the back using Scor-tape. While the window was face down, several layers of foam tape were added around the edges, then beads were added, the foam tape was stripped and the image panel was adhered to the back to seal everything in. Since I had to use several layers of foam tape so that the beads could move around, the shaker was inset into the white panel which was embossed with a striped folder. Paper piercing, silver brads, and denim ribbon were added as finishing touches.
Thanks so much for hanging out with us today!
God bless!
