Everybody needs love and acceptance, right? Everyone needs reassurance and affirmation throughout their life, right? As a child, we need to hear from our parents that we are loved and that we are doing a good job at...whatever it may be. As a parent, or teacher, employee, etc....most of us have a desire to feel like we are doing something good. Praise from others is very important to our self-worth. I will get to the point now......if we were made in God's image, don't you think that He would enjoy the same type of praise that we feel is so important to us? After all, He created ALL THINGS and has provided ALL that we will ever need. He provided His son to save us. Not only should we be filled with gratitude, but we should tell Him how great He is....how powerful He is......there is none like Him......He is the great I AM!!!!!!
So.....this leads me to the subject of this week's Bible Verse Thursday Challenge over at Christian Paper Crafts....use any verse to PRAISE HIM!!!! I have used Psalm 47:2 from Our Daily Bread designs' Scripture Collection 3 along with Vine Borders, Basic Grey "Green at Heart" designer paper, pearls by Zva Creative, gingham ribbon tied with a Bow Easy, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Martha Stewart Flower Bed Border Punch, and MANY layers of my addiction, Pearl Glimmer Mist!!!
Also, from Christian Paper Crafts this week, I have used Gloria's Sketch Tuesday Challenge and Jen's Color Monday Challenge to use orange plus any other colors in honor of her 40th birthday. Tomorrow, Cindy will have something fun for everyone to try for her Fun on Friday Challenge. Mary will be featuring another stamper's gallery on Case Artist Saturday, plus she hosts the Scripture Saturday Scrapbook challenge.....you'll have to check them out!! Lots of fun and lots of worship going on at the same time!! And don't forget Natalie's Book of John bible study and Marcelle's Daily Bread devotionals several times a week, plus Lynn's Journaling Questions and Cassandra's Altered for Him tag giveaways each Wednesday. Most importantly, Christian Paper Crafts is a wonderful place to "hang out" with other Christian ladies....I am inspired and encouraged daily by all of my wonderful friends there.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Stay tuned Saturday for Our Daily Bread designs Blog Hop and New Releases....yay!!!

God's Hands
I am so excited to be serving up a sneak peek for the upcoming May releases from Our Daily Bread designs. I have used "God's Hands", which is one of three new sets coming out on the 1st. This week's featured stamper at Splitcoast is Gloria aka GloriousGreetings, who is super sweet and extremely talented. I have chosen this card to case. I had to move the image panel up a bit so that the verse would fit. This will be a birthday card for my DH's Uncle George who lives in Tennessee...I hope he likes it!
Other material used: Designer paper: Memory Box "Spearmint", Poly-twill ribbon by May Arts, pewter brads, SU Brocade Blue cardstock, paper piercer and mat pack from SU. The image was colored with SU markers and popped up with foam tape for dimension. The background was colored with sponge daubers and ink pads, using a square Nestie as a stencil.
Today, I would also like to wish a very, very Happy Birthday to my DT sister over at Christian Paper Crafts..... Jen!!! You all know her as Miss Boo!! Hope your day is totally blessed, Jen!!! I will be creating something in orange later in the week in tribute of your favorite color!!!!!!! God bless!!
Thanks, everyone, for stopping by today! I hope to have more sneak peeks this week of the other two new ODBD sets. If not, make sure you come back for our Release day/Blog Hop fun on the 1st.....more chances to win ODBD stamps!!! Have a blessed day, everyone!!

My card today features the ODBD set, Love One Another, Spellbinders Fleur De Lis small pendant die, EK Success Fleur De Lis Border Punch, May Arts Satin Ribbon tied with a Bow Easy, some dark purple brads that I have had in my stash for about six years and NEVER used, and some gorgeous paper by Karen Foster Designs.
The close-up view shows a circle punched from the designer paper, stamped with "Love" only from a verse in the "Love One Another" set. Paper piercing and a little sponging with eggplant, then Pearl Glimmer Mist over the whole card and it was out the door! This was an anniversary card for my in-laws.
I have also incorporated two challenges from Christian Paper Crafts for this week. Gloria's Sketch Challenges are super fun each week....I thoroughly enjoyed working with this one!! Also, today is Bible Verse Thursday Challenge....to make a wedding, anniversary, or love card. (Duh...I forgot to take a photo of the inside which shows my verse!!!)

"Tool Time" with Real Wood Paper
This week's Shining the Light Challenge by the Our Daily Bread designs' Challenge Team is to "Recycle It". I had this challenge in mind while I was making this card for the Our Daily Bread designs' Product Review of the "Real Wood" paper....see the Product Review HERE. The recycled item on this card is the cotton twill ribbon, which was tied around a stack of washcloths from JcPenney....sometimes the packaging is more valuable to me than the product itself! :) This is also for the Cuttlebug Spot challenge to base your project on a movie or TV show.....I believe that I have seen nearly every episode of "Home Improvement"....some I have seen over and over due to re-runs! My project is all about "Tool Time with Tim Taylor"!
The image and sentiment from the ODBD set, "Happy Father's Day" were both stamped directly onto the Creative Imaginations "Real Wood" Birch paper with Stazon; the image panel was colored with markers. The background panel is also the wood paper, embossed with a CB folder, then sponged with cocoa ink for more dimension. Since the wood paper has a think layer of paper on the back, it doesn't crack apart! Even paper piercing is a breeze. The designer paper on the bottom layer is Basic Grey "Origins" and the black pearls are by Hero Arts.
This was a fun and easy project I made using the wood paper with Spellbinder brooch set. I die-cut two of the frames, one for the front and one for the back. I sprayed each with Pearl Glimmer Mist; after they were dry, I put them back into the die and stenciled them with eggplant. (Trial and error tip: My first try was ruined since I stenciled it first, then sprayed the Glimmer after.....the ink, since it was not permanent, bled into the wood grain from the moisture in the Glimmer Mist.) Before gluing the pieces together, I tied gold cord to a cross charm and glued the pieces around it. I will either hang this from my rear-view mirror or put it on my bulletin board. I would like to try this again and use some pretty beads for a sun catcher.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!! Have a very blessed day!!

Oranare Template plus "Real Wood" Paper!
This week's Product Review on the Our Daily Bread designs' blog is on the awesome "Real Wood" paper by Creative Imaginations. Check out the full review here. I am using Jen's Color Monday Challenge over at Christian Paper Crafts for this as well.....pinks and browns....love it!! Also, the Technique Lover's Challenge at Splitcoast this week is PIERCING, which is my obsession!!!! Also, the OCC challenge this week is to use butterflies!!
Today I am showing how to use the "Real Wood" paper along with an Ornare Embossing and Piercing Template.
The first step is to cut a piece of the wood paper slightly larger than the template. I embossed the wood paper with the template in my Spellbinders Wizard so that the raised images would be easier to stencil.
Using a sponge dauber and SU Rose Red ink, I stenciled all of the designs of the template. I cut out the center of the wood with a square Nestabilities die since this will be a raised frame above my sentiment panel. Once the stenciling was finished I used a paper piercer and foam mat to pierce all of the holes. I cut the outside edge with an exacto knife to keep the wood grain from splintering. Helpful Hint: When cutting this wood paper around curves, using scissors will cause a few rough edges....the exacto knife worked very well for the curves. Any rough edges may be lightly sanded with a sanding block.
Here is the finished card using the wood paper ornare frame. Other supplies used: "Happy Mother's Day" set from ODBD, K & Company 'Madeline' paper, and EK Success Dotted Scallop Border Punch, Martha Stuart Butterfly Punch, Basic Grey Opaline Pearls, Lace Ribbon by Offray tied with a Bow Easy, and Pearl Glimmer Mist.
This close up shows the smooth edges which were cut with an exacto knife around the outside base of the template, and sponged with cocoa. Even the butterfly was punched from the wood paper!

Bible Verse Thursday Challenge - "She"
This week's Bible Verse Thursday Challenge theme this week over at Christian Paper Crafts is "She". With Mother's Day just around the corner, how about getting a head start? The challenge is simple....use your fave verse about a woman or women in general, plus any colors or details you like! I'm lucky to have in my possession two awesome "girlie" sets from Our Daily Bread designs this month.....one is called "Mom" and the other is "Happy Mother's Day". The verse and image I chose are from the "Mom" set.
I have also used Gloria's Sketch Tuesday challenge from Christian Paper Crafts this week as well. Betty's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use Coral, Blush, Ruby Red with the "dessert option" of caramel or cocoa. The Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast is to do with the passing of time....the verse I chose speaks of "the days to come". The OCC challenge this week is to use bows....no problem.....lovin' my Bow Easy again this week!! The Tuesday Trigger over at Moxie Fab World is this gorgeous bouquet of roses...perfect match for the SCS color challenge, for which I am using SEI "Frambose" paper , punched with a Martha Stewart Doily Lace Border Punch. The single pearls and pearl strand are by Zva Creative; the satin ribbon by May Arts, and there are about six layers of (camera shy) Pearl Glimmer Mist for the icing on the cake!
Thanks for stopping by today!!! Have a very blessed day!!

Happy Mother's Day
Mother's Day is just around the corner, so I'm happy to be able to get a head start for once! Thanks to Kelley at Our Daily Bread designs, there are two Mom sets and two Dad sets available this month. So I'm getting a jump on Father's Day too!
This is a card I made for ODBD's Product Review on Prism Metallic Papers, which come in some gorgeous colors along with the metal tones. Check out the Product Review HERE. I used one of the bright colors, "Flame". You'll be seeing more of this paper from me...I'm hooked on the stuff!!!
The center of the card front was cut out with an Oval Scalloped Nestabilities die, and the cut out was used on the inside as the sentiment mat. The floral wreath from the ODBD set, "Happy Mother's Day" was embossed with black embossing powder, cut out with paper snips and an exacto knife, colored with markers, then popped up over the cut-out.
The designer paper is Basic Grey 'Green at Heart'; the edges punched with an EK Success Dotted Scallops Border Punch. The pearls are by Zva Creative and the satin ribbon by May Arts was tied in a triple bow with my Bow Easy.
Here is a view of the inside. The corners were punched with an EK Success Scalloped Photo Corner punch. The sentiment from "Happy Mother's Day" was also embossed in black, to match the wreath.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!! Have a blessed weekend!!!!

What an awesome week for masculine cards! This week's Bible Verse Thursday Challenge over at Christian Paper Crafts is to make a masculine card, using any verse of your choice. PLUS, the ODBD Challenge Team's "Shining the Light" challenge from this past Saturday was to use faux or real stitching. Also, I have used Roxie's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers this week. Plus, Julia's Ways To Use It Challenge is to place something on your card at an angle....I put the saw at an angle, plus the knot on the twill ribbon is at an angle.
The verse is from a new set, "Happy Father's Day" from Our Daily Bread designs; the designer paper is 7 Gypsies "Nottinghill"; the saw charm is from a tool set by Karen Foster Design, and the cotton twill is recycled....it was tied around a stack of wash cloths....SCORE!!
I haven't decided if I will hang on to this until Father's Day, or if I should give it to my father in law for his birthday in a few weeks.....hmmmm...tough decisions we cardmakers have to make!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!! God Bless!!!

Bible Verse Challenge - Proverbs
Well, I have gotten a little behind in my blogging the past week. Lots to do, plus trying to get my taxes done...yuk!!
This card was made for three challenges last week over at Christian Paper Crafts. Jen's Color Monday Challenge (which I "tweaked") was celery, turquoise, and orchid...I needed a masculine birthday card for a co-worker, so I used olive, plum, and turquoise instead. Gloria's Sketch Tuesday challenge was another awesome layout, which I flipped on its side to create my scene. And my Bible Verse Thursday Challenge was to use any verse from Proverbs.
I chose my verse from a new set from Our Daily Bread designs, called "Dad". The designer paper is from Memory Box "Frond", the treeline layers were punched with an "Alpine" border punch from EK Success, and the poly-twill ribbon is by May Arts. Since it was a "guy card", I sponged the clouds over a torn piece of paper instead of the usual scalloped circle!

April Fool's Day Prank Revealed
Last week, us "Breadsticks" (the Design Team) at Our Daily Bread designs played an April Fool's joke on Kelley (the owner of ODBD) by case-ing and posting each other's cards instead of our own. It was not easy, but Kelley did an awesome job of guessing who created which card! The gorgeous card which I had posted HERE was created by Connie....isn't it awesome?!
This is the card I made for the April Fool's release, which Dawn posted on her blog. I cased this gorgeous card by Dawn....I loved the white embossing on the Kraft paper, the embossed panel down the side and the gorgeous ribbon. For my card, I used the new ODBD set, "Mom", embossed in white, then colored with markers. The floral embossed panel was highlighted with chalks; the edge punched with a Martha Stuart border punch. The ribbon was recycled from a gift box, so I do not know the brand. The pearls are Basic Grey Opaline.
Below is a birthday card for my hubby's Grandmother....check out "Biker Granny" from this post! I have used Gloria's Sketch Tuesday Challenge from Christian Paper Crafts for the layout, Basic Grey 'Green at Heart' designer paper, May Arts Satin Ribbon tied with my Bow Easy, Zva Creative Pearls, and the verse is from Our Daily Bread designs' "Scripture Collection 4".
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a blessed week!!

April Fool's Day Fun with ODBD New Releases!
Happy April Fool's Day......the "breadsticks" from Our Daily Bread designs have something very fun planned for today! I will share the "deets" in just a moment!
First, I wanted to show off the four brand new sets from Our Daily Bread designs. (Click on each photo for a larger view, or check them out at Our Daily Bread designs store.) Aren't they awesome!? Plenty of time to get started on those Mother's Day AND Father's Day cards!!
Secondly, we are not having a formal blog hop this month, but will be linking to the other Design Team members, who have all created something with the new sets. There are no secret words to collect, however, there will be prizes! Start at the ODBD blog for a complete list of stops, leave a comment on each blog, then head back to the ODBD blog to let us know that you have finished. Two winners will be randomly chosen to receive a $15.00 credit toward ODBD stamps. You have until 8pm EST April 2 to complete the requirements.
NOW FOR THE FUN PART I HAD MENTIONED EARLIER!! Since today is April Fool's Day, we thought it would be fun to play a little trick on Kelley (since she is such a good sport and has a wicked sense of humor!) and post each other's creations instead of our own!!! Let's see how well Kelley AND YOU know the design team! Kelley will be asked to make a list of each DT member and guess who created each card which was posted! If you'd like to play along just for fun (and recognition on the ODBD blog), give it a try! You can email your guesses to Grace at: [email protected] until 8pm EST on April 2nd. ONLY ONE email please!
Can you GUESS WHO created this beautiful card?
Here is what the "Mystery Designer" has to say about her creation:
"I am so excited to have been able to CASE Angie!! After looking at all of her fabulous cards, I determined a few things that Angie LOVES to do...paper pierce, use glimmer mist, and tie wonderful bows!! So here is my stab at CASEing my friend Angie. The image was colored with copic markers. Once colored, I sprayed the image panel with Rose Tea Glimmer Mist, and paper pierced two of the corners. To finish off the card I used some Basic Grey Porcelain DP, pink half pearls from Zva Creative, and Pink Satin ribbon."
Isn't this card just GORGEOUS!! We will all post our own cards which we created after Friday and see if you guessed correctly!!! The winners will be announced on the ODBD blog on Saturday, April 3rd.
Ready for more fun? The next three designers after me are:
Julie
Dawn
Debi
Thanks for stopping by today! Good luck and have fun!!! Blessings to you!!
