Denice Bartucci, Team Fumi - Thank you!

Good morning!

Thanks for coming back.  If you're wondering why it's taking so long to post the last of the showcases it's because I'm trying to stretch it out...  Yea, I should have thought of that earlier!  Cause once the showcase is done, then that's it.  Wow, way too sad.  :(  So to keep this going for at least a few more days I'm going to give each of our team leaders their own day to shine.  When I think of a team leader I think of someone who can be organized and get things done, if necessary take on any task without being asked.  Well Denice of Being Craft-De did that and more.  She took on not only Team Fumi responsibilities but also volunteered to be our team's birthday coordinator.  Her posts were always fun to read, they just kept us wanting to read more.  I shall miss her a lot, but know that all I have to do is go to FB or stop by her blog to see what she's been up to.  Here's a look back at Denice's gorgeous projects...  Enjoy!!

Here's what Denice did with some of her beautiful tags... She made a tag book!!  

OMG more cuteness and out of the box projects with an attention to detail that is beyond awesome.  I wish I had a tenth of her creative mind.  If you haven't already done so, you should definitely become a follower.

Denice, thank you so very much for saying yes to being a guest designer and eventually staying on to be a big part of our ohana.  We've loved every moment of our time together with you and hope you did as well.  Mahalo for everything!!

I love dabbling with different products....mixing this and stamping that...and am always looking for fun and creative ways to use all of the products I've accumulated over time.  With my daughter recently having gone away to college I like to send her a note every once in a while and as easy as it is to make her a card, it's too much fun to sit and make her some interesting "stationary."

 

I started with a plain piece of college ruled notebook paper and stamped Yumi and Fumi.

 

Chinese symbols for child, mother, and love were added.  A foam heart was inked, then stamped.

 

Washi tape was added, along with a few hearts from a Heidi Swap stencil.

 The sentiments are from a TGF set.



Hello was stamped, then Gelato's and distress stains were applied.

 

Watercolor pencils and doodling finish the note paper.


I'm sure my daughter is happy to receive her gussied up notebook paper, but I'm thinking she's probably looking for a little more "green" to go along with it...if you know what I mean.

Challenge #20 Celebration Reminder

Oh my, don't you just love this card!  If the rainbow colored dots don't make you happy, then Yumi's blue eyes and snazzy blue cap definately will!  If you head over to Eva's blog  you can get all of the details on this happy card. 

Denice's card using Summer Chuckles and Tiki Surf Set

  

I couldn't resist using the sentiments from the newly released Tiki Surf Set to create a card for someone who just bought a new car. I also think this would be easy to alter for a newly licensed driver with a gas card attached instead of the deodorizer.
