What next?

Thanks for the comments regarding the sock yarn. It is soft and I'm sure it would make a great baby blanket if you can find the right colors. I had completed the third round (or so I thought) and was starting the fourth when I stumbled. Something just didn't look right! Then I discovered I had made pentagons (5 sides) when I should have made hexagons (6 sides)! Aaarrrrggghhh! So after ripping out round 3, I started over and it does look better. :-)

The pentagons can be used on the head or arms or legs (I hope).

The ice maker in our french door refrigerator has been out of commission for about 4 months now. To top it off, it is a discontinued item and we cannot find another! I thought I had found one last week but received an e-mail this morning that is not available. Damn, damn, damn! I'm going to check into a new refrigerator later today. Great! Another bill!

Hope the rest of the day goes better!

Back hickies!

I am still going to the chiropractor for neck adjustment. Doc was having a hard time getting my neck to pop so he suggested a massage therapist to help loosen up my muscles. I have never really wanted to have a massage but afterwards I recommend everyone try it at least once. This is what my back looked like after 'massage cupping'.
Believe it or not, this actually felt good! The massages worked because the Doc was able to finally pop my neck yesterday! My scar from the back surgery makes my back look like a butt!
Relief!
I have been working on another Babette...
This is the yarn I bought from Michaels last week. Yard sales were abundant this morning but I only found a few treasures. Hope you have a great weekend.

Diggin' up trees!

I have been accused of stealing! I live in a rural area with woods surrounding the homes where I live. Each morning when I took the grandkids to school, I noticed a bush like my mother has in the woods.
This area has no houses nearby, so this morning I stopped and proceeded to dig this bush out. I was almost through when a car drove by real slow and then stopped up the road. When I finally got the bush out and was putting it in my car, a lady got out and said, "That's my property".
All I could say was "Sorry".
A couple of hours later, a sheriff's deputy stopped by my house! She called the cops over a damn tree!
I don't know where this is going to go, but as I explained to the deputy, I have lived on this road since 1965 and have always dug trees out of the woods! This lady is a neighbor!
This would be hilarious if it wasn't so damn stupid!

Thank God, she's OK!

I was reading several of your blogs this afternoon when my phone rang. When I answered, my oldest grandaughter was crying hysterically. I finally understood that she had been in a wreck and couldn't reach her mother. Luckily, Justin was at home and we jumped in the car and went to her. She was attempting to turn left onto the main road above our home and another car was in the straight lane, coming towards her, with his signal on to turn left. She said he started to turn left and she did too. Only he decided to go straight and hit her in the rear passenger wheel. She was spun completely around and was now facing towards the opposite lanes. Luckily, no one was hurt, but she was hysterical. Her mother was coming home from work and came up on the scene before Justin and I got there. I never once thought about taking any pictures! Thank God, she and the other car's passengers are OK.
