Notability Quakewoody (talk) 14:13, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
- Keep all, they satisfy Wikidata:Notability #2: They refer to instances of clearly identifiable conceptual or material entities that can be described using serious and publicly available references. They all appear to be real entities and most have websites, and can be described by other sources. Keeping them allows more refined description of other items. -Animalparty (talk) 18:43, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
- Keep all, Wikidata:Notability #2: These entries are real world entities, organisations or instititutions which are e.g. verifyable beneficiaries of EU project funding..Huberrob (talk) 13:50, 18 January 2020 (UTC)
- It's unclear how the keep arguments apply, e.g. Q80796477 doesn't have any references.
- Most companies are listed in a phone book, some company registry and have a website, but that doesn't make them notable. --- Jura 09:32, 20 January 2020 (UTC)
- They are notable since they contributed to several EU-projects. Consequently, all these organisations are listed in the CORDIS database: https://data.europa.eu/euodp/en/data/dataset/cordisH2020projects/resource/ee1530b7-ddef-4ba7-bed1-da4f95726303 which should be regarded as a serious and publicly available reference required to comply with Wikidata:Notability #2--Huberrob (talk) 14:32, 20 January 2020 (UTC)
- In the items I checked, there was no trace of it. In any case, many companies are listed in one or the other industry database. --- Jura 14:41, 20 January 2020 (UTC)
- In the Excel file located there, you should find them, but unfortunately sometimes wrongly spelled or represented as strange transcriptions of the original language name (e.g. Greece).. imho another reason to give these entities some space on wikidata --Huberrob (talk) 07:59, 21 January 2020 (UTC)

phonograph record (Q16629185): analog sound storage medium in the form of a flat disc with an inscribed, modulated spiral groove: (delete | history | links | entity usage | logs)
I sorted - to my best - what looked like a mess of interwikis at first, and right now the tree of valid entries, top to bottom, is Gramophone record (Q178588) -> Microgroove record (Q86816874) -> LP record (Q841983). The other entry, phonograph record (Q16629185) becomes a duplicate of Q178588; there's nothing more to merge. The interwikis need to be reviewed in depth, as there's ambiguity in wikipedias. - It's a duplicate, but it looks like all statements and sitelinks (including any that were moved) belong to vinyl record (Q178588), so it can be merged (not all statements are on Q178588). There are still two categories: Category:Vinyl records (Q9111103) (originally gramophone records, now vinyl records) and Category:Gramophone records (Q9139049) (gramophone records); are any of the items specifically for vinyl (excluding shellac)? Peter James (talk) 11:25, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
- Q178588 in some languages is for records made from polyvinyl chloride; in others it includes shellac - should it be split? Peter James (talk) 11:41, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
- Certainly. For all practical purposes, vinyl records is the same as microgroove records (microgroove records in other materials did exist, but never reached mass production). So pt:Disco de vinil should belong to Q86816874 (but similarly named es:Disco de vinilo and ast:Discu de vinilu are Q178588). With less developed articles it's not so obvious. Retired electrician (talk) 20:05, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
- The undeveloped, confusing stubs like lt:Vinilinė plokštelė (starts with vinyl then jumps to 78 rpm then it ends) better stay at top Q178588, even if they declare vinyl in the title. Retired electrician (talk) 20:56, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
@Retired electrician, Peter James: if it is a duplicate, please use the Help:Merge function to create a redirect from Q16629185 to Q178588. We will not delete the item in that case anyways. —MisterSynergy (talk) 23:01, 22 March 2020 (UTC)

These are all "american/rappers" that do not meet the notability requirements and are used a promo only. 70.27.115.192 01:05, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
- Most of these can be deleted for being purely non-notable self promotion. There's a few of these that need kept. Some because they have WP articles. Some because they were members of the groups that have WP articles. There's also a couple that can be deleted but have their own little web of non-notable connected items that also need deleted. Quakewoody (talk) 06:25, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
- I updated the list. I removed items that were already deleted. I removed the obvious keepers (they have articles). I added comments to the rest.
- Delete everything that isn't marked as Keep. Quakewoody (talk) 11:33, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

Spam Jklamo (talk) 08:38, 14 February 2020 (UTC)
- Not spam given that I have no affiliation with them that said I'm not confident I fully understand wikidata's notability standards. This magazine/website is certainly niche but it's important in its sector (Spanish tourism). See for example mentions of it here and here. It has also been cited as a source in coverage of the aftermath of the Mobile World Conference cancellation in Madrid. So it's definitely a "clearly identifiable conceptual or material entity" and so I suppose it comes down to whether the above links constitute "serious and publicly available references". BrokenSegue (talk) 14:28, 14 February 2020 (UTC)
- @BrokenSegue: Could you please add some serious references/identifiers then (not counting twitter and linkdin)? Right now it does not have a single references for any of the statements. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 10:21, 15 February 2020 (UTC)
- @1997kB: half the items on this website also have no meaningful citations whatsoever. For example: Q18615495 has zero listed external sources. Whether the statements have accompanying references doesn't seem to be a listed criterion in the notability standard (just that the sources exist). I'm fine adding references to the statements but that seems to be unrelated to this deletion discussion. BrokenSegue (talk) 10:34, 15 February 2020 (UTC)
- While we don't have en:WP:OTHERSTUFF, but mentioning other items is also unrelated to this discussion and if you see WD:N point no 2 says - It refers to an instance of a clearly identifiable conceptual or material entity. The entity must be notable, in the sense that it can be described using serious and publicly available references. so yes we requires references for statements. Yes people also add them at once; in the end, but I would say adding them statement-wise is preferred and the best way. @BrokenSegue:. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 10:56, 15 February 2020 (UTC)
- @1997kB: Right but I'm trying to understand the notability policy of wikidata which is why I brought up another entity. I legitimately don't get what the standard is. I provided additional references to establish notability which to me sounds sufficient to meet the standard unless you don't think they count as "serious". I agree adding statement-wise references would be preferable but the notability standard doesn't require that (it merely requires that the subject can be described with references) and it's a question of my personal prioritization. That said if we're going to delete unless I add statement references I'll do it. BrokenSegue (talk) 17:11, 15 February 2020 (UTC)
- @BrokenSegue: Well I am not going to teach a lesson on notability, but for short it should have a sitelink (some exceptions, see WD:N) or it fills the structural need (i.e. CEO of a company which already have an item) or it have serious references; now those serious references could be w:en:WP:RS or good quality datasets.
- And I never said we are going to delete it. I just asked you to add references so that those statements can be verified. Hope this explains well enough. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 11:15, 16 February 2020 (UTC)

- @BrokenSegue: Could you please add some serious references/identifiers then (not counting twitter and linkdin)? Right now it does not have a single references for any of the statements. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 10:21, 15 February 2020 (UTC)
