The date of marriage
[edit]Date of marriage could be circled in. In The Islander Thomás says that they married on the last week of Shrovetide in 1878. I'm not shure which period Shrovetide describes but I think it is the 40-days period before eastern. Maybe someone knows more about these catholic rites an can clearify that. Why is a TRANSLITERATION of his name given such prominence?
[edit]This man’s claim to fame is that he came from an Irish speaking area and wrote about that IN IRISH, yet the Anglified version of his name is given prominence here and the citations for using it are from TRANSLATIONS of his books. Seems pretty racist to me. Moilleadóir (talk) 05:20, 21 February 2024 (UTC)
