In the tail end of my teen years I ventured into writing fiction and self publishing. After that was a spectacular failure, I took a scant ten years off to cry about it. Now that modern technology has made failing creatively a lot more affordable and accessible, I decided to try again.
I wrote a humorous novel about Superheroes called The Starlight Sentinels which is on Amazon.com.
I did a fanfic that completely rewrites The Walking Dead Game: Season 2 called Young and Young at Heart. You can find it on FFNet, AO3, and Wattpad.
I'm currently working on a sequel to my first fanfic. It's called Three Orphan Pilgrimage, and you can also find it on FFNet, AO3, and Wattpad.

i can barely feel any relief because this is just going to push off the crisis a little further down the road. after 4 years of an ineffective centrist biden administration that builds u.s. imperialism and world power while cracking down on communists and radicals in the u.s. and making liberals complacent we are only going to be in a bleaker position. who knows if it will be 4 years from now or 8 or 15 but the american political machine is going to keep becoming more decrepit and unpopular and detached from reality and the ‘next trump’ is going to be way smarter and ideologically motivated. i think biden and kamala’s focus on tech and policing and surveillance is going to be extremely destructive for the left and create the state apparatus perfect for american fascism. and the liberal nationalism ive seen today in new york is actually beyond disgusting, i cant believe after 5 months of nonstop protests people have the nerve to wave american flags around. every white gentrifying/gentrified neighborhood in new york is having a biden block party while working class neighborhoods are silent. lol i feel blackpilled as fuck ive never seen so many biden flags, signs, shirts, etc in my life

I literally had my pussy sewn shut I deserve k cup tits as compensation

right forgot most of my followers wouldn’t know this so

TW for medical trauma and child abuse

when an intersex baby is born and they have what’s called “ambiguous genitalia” aka they have an intersex condition which causes them to develop a mix of traits from both male and female genitals, doctors will just pick which one it’s closest to and without consent from the parents and obviously without consent from this living human person that just got born, perform a permanently scarring cosmetic surgery to force the baby’s genitals to align with societies perspective of either male or female genitals. these surgeries cause lifetime medical issues and sexual dysfunction and are only performed because our medical understanding of intersex people was written by a bunch of bigoted genicidal monsters. And yes it’s genocide they are removing our ability to conceive children in almost all cases of these surgeries, on top of generally erasing us from public view by hiding our own existence from everyone Including us from birth. these surgeries aren’t well known about because parents literally aren’t told (my mom only managed to figure it out cuz she overheard the doctor talking to a nurse about it when she came down off her painkillers) and scientific literature on it is not only hard to read it sounds like fucking nazi shit so obviously most medical establishments don’t want it in public view. I had one of these surgeries performed on me, I literally don’t even know exactly what it was cuz it’s not on my medical records anymore but I have the scarring and still have uterine tissue so in compensation for our current human society systematically mutilating my body and genociding people like me I think I deserve some banger bazhoingas i think that’s fair

I hope you don’t mind me adding this @werewo1fbutch I wanted to offer resources in my original post but I’m still looking for my own so this is really appreciated

But Wait, There's More! everything i'm about to say is secondhand experience from an intersex friend i have known for years, who i will not be identifying for safety reasons. not only can they just completely remove it from your medical record, many hospitals are in practice of straight-up lying to the parents to excuse why they're taking the baby in for surgery. an extremely common excuse is saying the baby has a heart condition. if you or a loved one were taken into surgery for a heart condition at birth and the parents had no idea anything was wrong until said birth, i HIGHLY recommend inspecting your genitals for scarring and speaking with a gynecologist or urologist(depending on which you usually rely on) if something seems fishy. they can also mark you as the wrong sex on your birth certificate because of this, which can barr you from treatment you are legally entitled to! worse than that, getting that corrected is extremely difficult. even if the doctor who edited your birth was LITERALLY THROWN OUT FOR MEDICAL MALPRACTICE, the hospital - and state - will continue to refuse acknowledgement of the mistake and no correction will be made. this is a very notable issue in the UK, especially if you were wrongfully marked Male. another thing people are often unaware of is the rampant issue of medical CSA that occurs if an intersex child is decided Female. There's a medical procedure called Dilation where a hole is carefully stretched wider over a period of time for various reasons; on its own, this is not a bad thing, and can be necessary for several reasons. however, many "female" intersex children are put through Vaginal Dillation at a disturbingly young age. the idea is that because their vaginas are shallow or more closed off, it's better to stretch them for a few years so that they'll be able to have sex properly when they get married. the thing is, there is no wrong time to start dilation. if you start at 18, there is no drawback; in many cases it would actually be safer, and it only takes between 1 to 3 years to reach a desirable state, depending on the person. and yet, this is often done to children FAR below the age of consent, explicitly with the future marriage reasoning in mind. this is sometimes started at infancy. let's really think about that. a young girl who is too young to consent and may not get any say in the matter is taken to a doctor over and over again to have her vagina stretched out because it is expected that when she's older she'll marry a man and have sex with him. there is no non-creepy way to put that. there is no way to explain this that is not BLATANTLY sexual assault on a fucking child. and the worst part is, this is not legally recognized as SA or abuse in the majority of juristictions. and ALL of this should be given the extra consideration that a large chunk of intersex children begin to identify differently than they were assigned at birth, often BEFORE hitting puberty. intersex people make up roughly 2% of the world population by modern count. that's twice as many intersex people in the world as there are redheads.

i know this is long, and i'm not going to guilt anyone into reblogging; you're not a bad person for keeping upsetting stuff off of your dash. but if you're able, i do gently request that you reblog this. it's important that more people know this is happening. stay safe all, and i wish every intersex person loads of moneys and whatever body they wish for.

Hey Josh,

So I’m trying to get all the achievements in New Vegas but two of the achievements I need are the caravan achievements.

Can you give me any advice to win caravan?

Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving this is the one F:NV question I'll answer this season.

This is probably the best guide I've seen:

IMO the short version is that 10s, 8s, and 6s are the most important numbered cards to have in your decks. Kings and jacks are also valuable: kings to double (or triple, or quadruple) the value of a card (or your opponent's), jacks to remove a card.

Queens and jokers have their place, but are more situational and usually the AI doesn't demand their use. When we were playtesting Caravan in 1:1 IRL games, they came up more often.

What happens when Cyborg is gone.

A stupid thing I came up with while watching ttgo and pondering about the crazy contrast between that show and Titans 2018 a.k.a. the darkest time line

"The best thing we can do with power is give it away" - On the leftist critique of superhero narratives as authoritarian power fantasies:

The ongoing "Jason Todd is a cop" debate has reminded me of a brilliant brief image essay by Joey deVilla. So here it is, images first and the full essay text below:

"A common leftist critique of superhero comics is that they are inherently anti-collectivist, being about small groups of individuals who hold all the power, and the wisdom to wield that power. I don’t disagree with this reading. I don’t think it’s inaccurate. Superheroes are their own ruling class, the concept of the übermensch writ large. But it’s a sterile reading. It examines superhero comics as a cold text, and ignores something that I believe in fundamental, especially to superhero storytelling: the way people engage with text. Not what it says, but how it is read. The average comic reader doesn’t fantasize about being a civilian in a world of superheroes, they fantasize about being a superhero. One could charitably chalk this up to a lust for power, except for one fact… The fantasy is almost always the act of helping people. Helping the vulnerable, with no reward promised in return. Being a century into the genre, we’ve seen countless subversions and deconstructions of the story. But at its core, the superhero myth is about using the gifts you’ve been given to enrich the people around you, never asking for payment, never advancing an ulterior motive. We should (and do) spend time nitpicking these fantasies, examining their unintended consequences, their hypocrisies. But it’s worth acknowledging that the most eduring childhood fantasy of the last hundred years hasn’t been to become rich. Superheroes come from every class (don’t let the MCU fool you). The most enduring fantasy is to become powerful enough to take the weak under your own wing. To give, without needing to take. So yes, the superhero myth, as a text, isn’t collectivist. But that’s not why we keep coming back to it. That’s not why children read it. We keep coming back to it to learn one simple lesson… The best thing we can do with power IS GIVE IT AWAY." - Joey deVilla, 2021 https://www.joeydevilla.com/2021/07/04/happy-independence-day-superhero-style/

agree to pay your workers fairly and the strikes will end, it’s that easy you greedy shits!

More and more I am thinking that the reason the studios are refusing to budge is because any deal other than the workers unconditional surrender would require the studios to make streaming numbers public so workers know what fair pay is, and companies have been lying about streaming numbers so much that making the real numbers public could result in lawsuits and possible criminal charges from the investors they've defrauded.

There has been an outpouring of public support for unions the past few years I don't think the execs would refuse to even make a counter offer unless there was more going on.

"Why are there so many female archers in fiction?"

Please forgive the clickbait-y title! This is a super complex and interesting topic that I barely scratch the surface of here, but I hopefully will be able to do more justice to things like this in the future!

Also, it's not the point of the video, but I had fun with the outfits in this- do you have any faves?

As always, please consider supporting me on Patreon if you can, or watching on youtube if not!

Illustration from a Satellaview broadcast depicting unethical experiments being conducted on Luigi.

The Satellaview was a Japan-only add-on for the Super Famicom that allowed it to receive satellite transmissions; while it is most commonly known for featuring games, it also offered shows that had live audio alongside a slideshow of pictures. Many of these featured bizarre and outlandish scenarios involving Mario characters.

"You're going to miss out on all this media because of the strikes!"

Y'all shot a whole-ass Batgirl movie and refused to release it so you could get a tax break, constantly cancel popular shows after a single season, and remove stuff from streaming while refusing to sell it on physical media, so maybe shut the fuck up.

I hope every major studio and streaming service crashes, all your executives end up permanently unemployed, and that all we're left with is indie media produced by people who can see beyond the dollar sign.

This!!!! No one thinks twice about supporting the strike. Of course we will. We've got nothing to gain as an audience with or without it. We have our own grievances with the studios. Before the strike, we were barely getting media and barely hanging onto what little we've gotten recently. Then they started taking shit away?! Now they want us to turn against the writers and actors? Lol goodbye!

Or water fountains, public washrooms, outdoors tables, etc, etc

Notice how removing seating doesnt actually prevent people from sitting it just makes them uncomfortable and makes public spaces more hostile it doesnt actually work at controlling their behavior not till a pig comes along anyways and they'll harass a homeless person/teen whatever they're sitting on.

I was just explaining how I saw “To Wong Fu,” in the theaters as a 17 year old with a bunch of highschool friends and absolutely nobody was scandalized. This drag panic is entirely orchestrated and much ado about nothing.

I mean, somebody’s going to mention Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie, or Flip Wilson as Geraldine, but way back in the fifties, Milton Berle was on Texaco Star Theater and your grandparents or great-grandparents loved it.

A reminder that drag is old. It's so old it's ridiculous. Drag has been done in theater since the beginning of theater. And sometimes those characters are supposed to be another gender [Peter Pan is usually played by a small adult woman, and Edna Turnblad from Hairspray is famously a woman's role that's supposed to be cast with a drag queen]. Sometimes it's just a part of the show. [Some Like It Hot, where the two male characters are disguised as women to hide from the mob, and one ends the movie with a wealthy man] Drag queens as a trope have always been sassy, world-weary, and absolutely confident in themselves and their ability to attract men. Hell, sometimes the joke is that they're [deliberately] making a straight male character uncomfortable and we're supposed to be laughing at the straight male's discomfort. Law & Order has shown drag queens for decades with asshole detectives referring to them as "ma'am" when they're in drag even as they're trying to avoid the sequins.

This rhetoric is frightening because of how quickly the neo-fascist movements in the US have managed to get it to take hold.

The last star of the silent film era died yesterday at 101.  Diana Serra Cary started in films when she was 19 months old, as “Baby Peggy.” Like a lot of other child stars she was exploited, overworked, supported her entire family with her earnings, was considered “washed up” before she was 10 and was left with nothing as an adult. At 17 she ran away from home, knowing that her parents wanted her to work in films forever and she needed a way out.

She eventually married an artist, opened a bookstore, and became an author and historian. Her 1978 nonfiction book Hollywood’s Children traced the exploitation of child actors from the 1800s onward. She also released Whatever Happened to Baby Peggy? a memoir of her child star years, pulling no punches on the abuse she suffered at the hands of her parents, directors and studios, who put her to work eight hours a day, six days a week and had her doing her own stunts before she was five. This scene here, from The Darling of New York? Not special effects. They actually put this small child in a burning room and she almost didn’t get out because they accidentally fired all the doors and windows. In 2011 a documentary about her, The Elephant in the Room, was released. She released her last book, a novel, at the age of 100.  She never got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She’s not remembered much in film histories. But she was one of the pioneers, and with her, the last of the silent era stars is gone.
