A Glimpse of Tomorrow

(Isang Sulyap sa Kinabukasan)

Romans 3:23
“for all have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God.”
21 So this is the principle I have discovered: When I
want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For
in my inner being I delight in God’s law. 23 But I see
another law at work in my body, warring against the
law of my mind and holding me captive to the law of
sin that dwells within me. 24 What a wretched man I
am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?
(Romans 7:21-24 BSB)
21 So this is the principle I have discovered: When I
want to do good, evil is right there with me.
22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law.
23 But I see another law at work in my body, warring
against the law of my mind and holding me captive
to the law of sin that dwells within me.
Phil. 3:12-14 Amplified Bible
“12 Not that I have already obtained it [this goal of
being Christlike] or have already been made perfect,
but I actively press on so that I may take hold of that
[perfection] for which Christ Jesus took hold of me
and made me His own.
Phil. 3:12-14 Amplified Bible
13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have
made it my own yet; but one thing I do: forgetting
what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies
ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the
[heavenly] prize of the upward call of God in Christ
Jesus.”
Eph 2:10 NLT

For we are God’s masterpiece (poiema)…

1. We must not lower God’s standards to fit where
we are.
Romans 7:12 – “So then, the law is holy, and the
commandment is holy, righteous, and good.”
The commandments, “You shall not commit
adultery… murder… steal… covet,” and whatever
other command there may be, are summed up in
this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Romans 13:9
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all
your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest
and most important commandment. The second is
like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.”
1. We must not lower God’s standards to fit who we
are.
2. We must not try to make it happen by our own
abilities.
“Let US make man after our own image, after our
likeness…” Gen 1:26.
Romans 8:1-2: Therefore, there is now no
condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,
because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit
(who gives life) has set you free from the law of sin
and death.
For what the law was powerless to do… God did
this by sending his own Son… to be a sin offering.
And so, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that
the righteous requirement of the law might be fully
met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but
according to the Spirit.- Romans 8:3-4.
Verse 5 Those who live according to the flesh have
their minds set on what the flesh desires, but those
who live in accordance with the Spirit have their
minds set on what the Spirit desires. (NIV)
1 John 3:2
“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not
yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know
that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for
we shall see Him as He is.”
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image,
after Our likeness, to rule over the fish of the sea and
the birds of the air, over the livestock, and over all
the earth itself and every creature that crawls upon
it.” Gen 1:26 BSB
“What is man that You are mindful of him, or the son
of man that You care for him?... You crowned him
with glory and honor and placed everything under
his feet.” When God subjected all things to him, He
left nothing outside of his control. Hebrews 2:6-8
“The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the
word of our God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:8

"Ang damo ay nalalanta at ang mga bulaklak ay

kumukupas, ngunit ang salita ng ating Diyos ay
nananatili magpakailanman."
