What is Universal Design for

Learning?

• Universal Design for learning (UDL) is a is a set of


design principles that are used to provide
opportunities to all individuals to ensure equitable
access to curriculum, assessment and learning.

Definition:
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a proactive
design of curricula (educational goals, methods,
materials, and assessments) that enable all
individuals to gain knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm
for learning.
