Chapter 4

PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS, AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents the findings and result of the study. Appropriate statistical

tools were used to analyze data and eventually interpret results as presented below.

Findings are shown and narrative presentations are sequentially discussed.

Problem 1. What are the Contemporary Pedagogy employed by the teacher in

terms of Collaborative Learning?

as it allows for diverse perspectives and insights.

accountability among group members.

communicate effectively and articulate my ideas clearly.

connections formed with classmates.
10. I believe that collaborative learning prepares me for realworld experiences by 4.46 Agree

Average 4.44 Agree
Mean: 1.00-1.49-Strongly disagree, 1.50-2.49-Disagree, 2.50-3.49-Neutral, 3.50-4.49-Agree, 4.50-5.00-Strongly Agree

Table 1.1 presents the extent of the contemporary pedagogy employed by the

teacher in terms of collaborative learning. Results identified that all of the indicators in

terms of collaboration encountered by the respondents agreed (wtd average mean 4.4 -
4.49). This implies that the Contemporary Pedagogy employed by the teacher in terms

of collaborative learning is high.

The results of the analysis regarding collaborative learning align closely with findings

from a study conducted by Johnson, Johnson, and Smith (2014) titled "Cooperative

Learning: Improving University Instruction by Basing Practice on Validated Theory." In

their research, Johnson et al. examined the impact of cooperative learning on various

aspects of student learning and engagement. Johnson et al. emphasize the importance

of heterogeneous grouping, where students with different backgrounds and experiences

work together, fostering deeper understanding and appreciation of multiple viewpoints.

Similarly, the current study's findings indicate that students appreciate the chance to

work with their peers, valuing the diverse insights and perspectives that collaborative

learning offers.
