The Legend of Maria Makiling
Maria Makiling, a benevolent fairy living in
Mount Makiling, helps villagers generously with
food and blessings. However, when villagers
become greedy and try to exploit her powers for
personal gain, Maria Makiling withdraws her aid.
This leads to misfortune and hardship in the
community. Realizing their mistake, villagers
repent and promise respect. Moved by their
sincerity, Maria Makiling forgives and restores
blessings, teaching them the value of gratitude
and respect for nature.
