HEALTH SERVICES These programs aim to upraise the health conditions of individuals through screening and examinations, cure and treat disorders, prevent and control the spread of diseases, provide safety, emergency care, and first aid, and ensure a follow-up program for individuals who have undergone treatments. HEALTH PROFESSIONALS -individuals who are licensed to practice medicine and other allied health programs. HEALTH PROFESSIONALS An example of a health professional is a physician. A physician records the medical history of individuals, provides diagnoses, performs medical examinations, and prescribes medications. HEALTH PROFESSIONALS Health care practitioner and allied health professionals are also considered health care providers. HEALTH PROFESSIONALS “A healthcare practitioner is an independent healthcare provider who is licensed to practice on a specific area of the body” (Meeks, et al., 2011). HEALTH PROFESSIONALS Some examples of healthcare practitioners are podiatrists (specializing problems on feet), dentists (specializing problems on teeth), and optometrists (specializing problems on a person who practices optometry-he practice or profession of examining the eyes for visual defects and prescribing corrective lenses). HEALTH PROFESSIONALS “An allied health professional is a trained healthcare provider who practices under the supervision of a physician or healthcare practitioner” (Meeks, et al., 2011). HEALTH PROFESSIONALS Nurses, dietician, pharmacists, and physical therapists are examples of allied health professionals. HEALTHCARE FACILITIES Hospital- it is an institution where people undergo medical diagnosis, care and treatment. HEALTHCARE FACILITIES A hospital offers different types of medical care like inpatient and outpatient care. HEALTHCARE FACILITIES Inpatient care refers to care given to individuals who need to stay inside the hospital to receive proper treatment, monitoring and care. HEALTHCARE FACILITIES Outpatient care refers to treatment that does not require an individual to stay inside the hospital. Types of Hospital Private hospital- is operated by individuals to gain profit. Voluntary hospital- does not require profit because it is owned by a community or an organization. Types of Hospital Government hospital/ Public hospital- is being run by the state and the treatment fees are subsidized. Teaching hospital- includes a school for medical students. Types of Hospital In the Philippines, there are two classifications of hospitals: general and specialty. Types of Hospital General hospitals have complete medical, surgical, and maternal care facilities. Some examples are the Philippine General Hospital, Baguio General Hospital, Cebu General Hospital, and Davao Medical Center. Types of Hospital Specialty Hospitals handle a particular disease or condition or deal with only one type of patient. Some examples are the Philippine Heart Center, Lung Center of the Philippines and National Kidney Transplant Institute. Types of Hospital In this time of pandemic, some hospitals/government buildings and private establishments are also converted into specialty hospitals to focus treatment on COVID-19 patients which became a worldwide concern and threat to human life’s safety. Types of Hospital Walk-In Surgery center- it is a facility that offers surgery without the patient being admitted in the hospital. Types of Hospital Health Center- The services in a health center cater to a specific population with various health needs. Types of Hospital Extended Healthcare Facility- a facility that provides treatment, nursing care, and residential services to patients, often the elderly individual or patient that needs special care. HEALTHCARE PLANS “HEALTH INSURANCE- is a financial agreement between an insurance company and an individual or group for the payment of healthcare costs” (Payne, et al., 2005). HEALTHCARE PLANS This also may pertain to a protection that provides benefits for sickness and injury” (Meeks, et al., 2011). It offers various types of coverage: HEALTHCARE PLANS Medical insurance- pays for the fees of the health professionals, laboratory tests, and prescription drugs. HEALTHCARE PLANS Major medical insurance- offers payment for long-term or chronic diseases such as AIDS and cancer. HEALTHCARE PLANS
Hospitalization insurance- pays

Currency: The date of which the original information is based should be displayed. The date of posting on the web should also be displayed. Relevance: Does the content of the site correspond to the information it claims to offer? Review process:Does the site have a "seal of approval" from an individual or group commonly perceived as credible? Content

complete, with an appropriate disclaimer provided. Disclosure Disclosure requires that a site inform users about any collection of data about them while at the site, and how that data will be used. Links Links should be included so that users can verify content on the site and they should lead users to other reliable sources of information. Design Design does not affect the quality of the content however it can have significant effects on the delivery and use of the information.
