    Introduction
    1. IOT is the idea of connecting any device with an on/off switch to the internet and/or to
    each other.

    2. It uses Internet of Things (IoT) sensors in urban areas to collect data and automate
    systems such as traffic, energy use, and waste management.

    3. By doing so, smart cities improve the efficiency of urban services, reduce costs, and
    deliver a higher standard of living.

    4. Sustainable Infrastructure.

    5. Citizen Engagement and Quality of Life.

    6. Enhanced Public Safety and Security.


    Technology
    1. In the physical layer, devices, sensors, or actuators are used at the source to capture raw
    data about certain conditions, events, or actions.

    2. Example, the presence or absence of an object and the temperature or moisture level of
    the environment.

    3. The network layer allows for the transfer of the captured data via the established
    connection.

    4. At this level, the raw physical data is compiled and prepared for transfer via an IOT
    gateway.

    5. Analog events in the physical layer are converted into digital records and
    communicated
