DAY 1
 Speaker 1 (Dr. Subhadip Neogi)
 Crystalline porous frameworks as Advanced Materials for Environmental Remediation and
Sustainable Catalysis.
 He explained about the challenges on capturing and conversion of carbon dioxide by
differentiating between Aqueous alkanolamine and porous adsorbents. Further he
explained the role of catalysts and their importance.
 He also differentiated between Metal-organic framework (MOF) & Covalent organic
framework (COF). Thus, the session was about the membrane-based framework which can
be considered as advanced materials.
 Speaker 2 (Dr.PradipPachful)
 Functionalized Covalent organic Framework (COFs) for Photocatalytic Hydrogen
Generations
 This session was about the Covalent organic Frameworks as a crystalline microporous
polymeric material Then he explained about the synthesis of Olefin-linked COFs for
Photocatalytic H2 Generation.
 Speaker 3 (Dr. Kalisadhan Mukherjee)
 Wet chemical synthesis and structural features of spinel ferrite for gas sensing applications
 Spinel ferrite are complex metal oxides which have tunable optical, electrical, chemical
properties and controllable morphological features. Metal oxide chemiresistors are also
useful for detection of toxic and inflammable gas .
DAY 2
 Speaker 1 (Dr. Rakesh Pathak)
 New Perspectives and challenges for designing combination prodrugs and nano
formulations as cancer therapeutics
 The professor discussed platinum-based combination therapeutics for prostate cancer
Concept of combining cisplatin and aspirin in a single platinum platform, as prodrug for
efficacious in vitro biological action.
 Speaker 2 (Dr. Akash Sabarwal)
 Crosstalk of Receptor Tyrosine Kinases in mediating therapeutic resistance in cancer
 Tyrosine Kinases Met is also known as C-met which is a hepatocyte growth factor receptor
(HGFR). Cabo drug increases C-met and AXL expression levels in vitro and in vivo that may
cause drug resistance. Silencing AXL markedly induces apoptosis in renal cancer cells. C-
Met inhibitor, Cabo and a combination with AXL inhibitor are more effective in blocking
tumor promoting pathways in vitro and in vivo.
 Speaker 3 (Dr. Sriram Kanvah Gundimeda)
 Fluorescent chemical tools for Sub-cellular
 The topics covered in the session are Cyanostilbenes: Aggregation induced Emission,
Fluorophores for biomolecular sensing and imaging, Model Membrane studies and
Mitochondrial Viscosity sensing and Nucleolus imaging. Mitochondrial viscosity is of great
importance owing to its crucial roles in the diffusion mediated processes. It has
demonstrated that the viscosity in cancer cells is higher than normal cells.
DAY 3

 Speaker 1 (Prof. Mahesh Ganesa Pillai)

 Waste isn’t a waste until we waste it
 The topics covered in the session was Environmental sustainability in solid waste
management, Management of municipal solid waste, Types of waste generated in different
cities, Waste classification by origin and Specific targets of the sustainable development
goals related to solid waste management.
 Speaker 2 (Prof. G. Arthanareeswaran)
 Removal and Recovery of value-added products from waste towards a Sustainable Circular
Bioeconomy
 The professor covered the topics like Circular economy in membrane technology, Water
Purification, Membranes with nanostructures materials, Different types of Nano-Hybrids
materials, Carbon based and hybrid nanomaterials and Membrane technology in gas
separation applications.
 Speaker 3 (Prof. Suneel Pandey)
 Green Growth and Waste Management
 The topics staired in this session was More and Mini Consumption, Defining Green Growth,
Waste sector strategy options, TERI enhanced Acidification and Methanation (TEAM)
process, Technology choices, Bio-drying, In-Vessel composting and Landfill gas Management.
Day 4
 Speaker 1 (Prof. Indrajit Mukhopadhyay)
 Green synthesis for semi-conductors for energy application
 The professor talked about the effect of the presence of water in IL, CV of 1M SiCl 4 in
water contaminated BMImTf2N on HOPG and studies on I-T for exploring nucleation
and growth.
 Speaker 2 (Prof. Trudi Kumar Goswami)
 Evaporative cooling
 The session was about Relative Humidity, Evaporative Coolers and Wet bulb and Dry bulb
Psychrometer. Further he gave a brief explanation about different sources of energy i.e.,
Solar Energy, Wind energy, Ocean Thermal, Geo-thermal Energy and Biomass or Biogas
Energy.
 Speaker 3 (Dr. Ranjith Than gavel)

 Emerging Trends on Energy Storage Devices

 The session was about the Electrochemical Energy Storage, Sodium-ion
Capacitor, Renewable Energy issues, Need for Energy Storage, Battery types
and Electric Double Layered Capacitors.
DAY 5
 Speaker 1 (Prof. S. Sundar Manoharan)
 Publication Ethics and Scientific misconduct
 The session was about Publication Ethics, Regulatory Bodies, Committee on
Publication Ethic, Journey of a Manuscript-7 stage, Cope-code of conduct for
Authors and Key components of Publication Ethics.
 Speaker 2 (Prof. Dilip Kumar Chand)
 From Research to Applicatio
 The session covered the following topics regarding research:
I. What is a Scientific Document?
II. Manuscript for a Review Article.
III. Square Planar Coordination Geometry of Palladium.
IV. You need to be a Good Storyteller.
 Speaker 3 (Dr. Rukmankesh)
 Arriving at the FIST Mechanism of Alzheimer's Disease from Research and Application.
 Areas covered in the session are Publishing Strategy, Cleavage Mechanism Secretase,
Cryo-contraction in Cryo-electron microscopy structures, Simulation Cell sized effects and
Role of Presenilin in Calcium transport.
Conclusion and Usefulness of the Webinar
• Since the webinar was based on Medicinal chemistry, Waste management,
green energy etc., it covered theoretical and some important practical
information. Thus, in my opinion it has catered the information for graduates
and postgraduates of chemistry, pharmacy as well as for researchers and all
types of students who want to make our earth green in the real world.

• Such types of webinars are more important in my perspective to students or

researchers who are going under some wonderful topics of research. Green
chemistry gives such wide research topics on new research and this type of
informative webinar is very important to all students who are studying in
science faculty.

• Overall, experiencing this webinar was good and time consuming and
knowledgeable. It was a great opportunity to be a part of this Webinar.

• And thanks to all organizing members for such an informative and very useful
webinar
Thank you
