Chinese Govt. Scholarships are awarded by CSC to international students in Chinese


Universities affiliated with CSC. The scholarships are awarded for the following programs.
I. Bachelor Degree
II. Masters Degree
III. PhD Degree
CSC Scholarships online application system or admission process is started from December to
April (Generally) every year. But last date to apply in different universities is different.
Scholarships are awarded through different agencies like,
I. CGS through University
II. China embassy in other countries, which have diplomatic relation with china
Eligibility for scholarships
To be eligible, applicants must

Not be a citizen of china


Be a high school graduate under the age of 25 applying for
Undergraduate degree
Be a Bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 applying for the
Master’s Degree
Be a Master’s degree holder under the age of 40 applying for the
Doctoral Degree
Scholarship categories
There are three scholarship categories;

I. CSC Scholarship Category A (Through Chinese Embassy)


II. CSC Scholarship Category B ( Through Chinese University)
III. CSC Scholarship Category C ( Through other source)

Application for Scholarship
Step 1: Find your subject related University

Step 2: Contact your research area related supervisor for acceptance.

Step 3: Fill CSC online application form after log in

Step 4: Apply for the respective university/agency

Step 5: Take print of application and send to university with related documents. (Notarized)
Required Documents
• Recommendation Letters (2)
• Foreign Physical Examination form for China
• Study Plan
• Motivation Letter
• English Proficiency Certificate
• Acceptance Letter from supervisor
• Notary attestation of documents
• Research proposal
• CV
• Police Clearance Certificate
• Photocopies of applications for CSC and University
Approval and Notification
Recommended applications forwarded by the university / agencies will
be reviewed by the CSC.
Qualified applications will be forwarded to the university / agencies for
the recruitment.
CSC will forward the JW201-JW202 form to the university.
University will forward the visa form and admission notice to the
student up till 30TH August.
Visa Application
Students under Chinese Govt. Scholarship should apply for visa to study
in China at the China embassy with the original documents and one set
of the photocopies of the documents (Varies country wise).

Visa will be provided by the embassy according to the given time frame
for study visa application.
Arriving at University

After receiving visa , reserve a ticket to your dream destination.


Report to the International Students office of the university after
your arrival and proceed for further documentation.
