ABSTRACT

A machine learning model that uses PCA and K-Means to analyze responses
of an individual to a standardized personality assessment questionnaire in
order accurately predict their scores for each of the Big Five personality traits
in the OCEAN model.
INTRODUCTION

The project is based on identifying the personality of an individual


using machine learning algorithms and big 5 models. The personality of
a human plays a major role in his personal and professional life.
Nowadays, many organizations have also started shortlisting the
candidates based on their personality as this increase the efficiency of
the work because the person is working in what he is good at than what
he is forced to do.
The Big Five model is also known as the developed
Five_Factor Model (FFM) and OCEAN model was developed in the
early 1980s according to many psychological theories. When the
statistical analysis is applied to personality survey data, some words
used to describe the person and these words give a summary of the overall
character or personality of the person accurate .
LITERATURE SURVEY
Big Five Personality traits :
Every human being is unique , but this uniqueness originates from the combination of 5
personality traits we all share . From a organizational perspective, information about how an
individual personality can provide valuable information about that person, what task and job is he
suitable for. The big five model is most widely used model and more recognized model today. A brief
description of big five traits is provided below.
• . Open to Experience: It involves various Dimensions,like
imagination, sensitivity, attentiveness, preference to varirty,
and curiosity .

• . Conscientiousness: This trait is used to describe the carefulness


and diligence of the person. It is the quality that describes how
organized and efficient a person is.

• . Extraversion: It is the trait that describes how the best


candidates can interact with people that is how good are
his/her social skills.
• Agreeableness: It is a quality that analyses the individual behavior based on the generosity,
sympathy, cooperativeness and ability to adjust with people.

• Neuroticism: This trait usually describes a person to have mood swings and has extreme
expressive power.
SCOPE OF PROJECT:

• . We can modify the existing system and attach it to a questionnaire


so the personality scored and the Aptitude score will be calculated at
the same time thereby reducing the workload even more.
ADVANTAGE OF PROJECT

• This system can be used in many business sectors that may require
expert candidate.
• This system will reduce workload of the human resource department.
• This system will help the human resource department to select right
candidate for particular job profile, which in turn provide expert
workforce for the organization.
• Admin or the concern person can easily shortlist a candidate based on their
online test marks and can select an appropriate candidate for desired job
profile.

Application Of Project:

• This system can be used in many organizations in


order to shortlist expert candidate.
• Can be used to predict a person’s personality with an
accuracy of 85.81%
DISADVANTAGE OF PROJECT

• This system requires large memory space as it stores data related to CVs.
• Requires an active internet connection.
• May provide inaccurate results if data not entered properly
Furture Of Project

• We can modify the existing system and attach it to a


questionnaire so the personality scored and the Aptitude
score will be calculated at the same time thereby
reducing the workload even more.

Conclusion
In this proposed system, we have implemented system which is useful for any recruiter for
recruitment process where the applied candidates are in a huge number. This system will reduce the
workload of recruiter or Human Resource Department.
