Introduction
Bangladesh has entered the international mobile remittance market based on the previous success of the Philippines model. Bangladeshs migrant workforce has been encountering the typical remittance issues: inability to send money frequently, delays while sending, unsecured distribution, inconsistent delivery methods, etc. To combat these issues Bangladesh has established a mobile Remittance service supported by two local banks Dhaka Bank Ltd and Eastern Bank Ltd and the country's second largest mobile operator Banglalink.
Encashment process
1. Fill up the money encashment form 2. Provide the retailer with a copy of any one of the valid photo identification documents. You have to bring the original valid photo identification document for verification: i) Voter ID./National ID. ii) Driving license iii) Passport
3. If you have a registered mobile wallet account: i) Mention your registered banglalink number and the amount you wish to withdraw in the encashment form ii) Verify your pin number for safe transaction

3. if you do not have a registered mobile wallet account: i) mention the name of the bank through which remittance came, the exact amount received and the transaction reference id (obtained from the sender) in the form 4. Receive your money from the retailer 5. a. retailer will sign the money encashment form in front of you b. sign the money encashment form (or thumb print) c. the photocopy of the photo identification document and encashment form must be signed and dated by both you and the retailer
