    Sometimes it refers to
    the heavenly angel sent
    by God and sometimes
    to human messenger.

    the Creator on the
    Seventh day Sabbath.

    The Sabbath is the day
    God set aside as a
    memorial of creation
    and a sign of the
    Creator.
    It is a sign of His
    authority over us, and a
    sign of our
    responsibility to Him.
    The greatest spiritual
    issue in the last days
    will center on worship.
    The Sabbath, if rightly
    kept, “man’s thoughts
    and affections would
    have been led to the
    Creator as the object of
    reverence and worship,
    and there would never
    have an idolater, an
    atheist, or an infidel."
    The keeping of the
    Sabbath is an
    acknowledgment of
    God’s authority over
    His creatures and
    man’s responsibility to
    his Creator.
    The preaching of
    William Miller from
    1831 to 1844 may be
    regarded as the
    beginning of the
    proclamation of the
    first angel’s message.

    second angel’s
    message?

    A second angel
    followed and
    said, “‘Fallen!
    Fallen is Babylon
    the Great,’ which
    made all the
    nations drink the
    maddening wine
    of her adulteries.”
    Babel or
    Babylon =
    confusion

    The city of
    Babylon where
    the tower of
    Babel first built
    ceased to exist
    today.
    Babylon is a symbol of humanity’s
    rebellion against God and His plan.
    It also denotes a religious organization in
    opposition to God, His truth, and His
    people.
    What is the third
    angel’s message?

    A third angel followed


    them and said in a loud
    voice: “If anyone worships
    the beast and its image and
    receives its mark on their
    forehead or on their hand, 
    • they, too, will
    drink the wine of
    God’s fury, which
    has been poured
    full strength into
    the cup of his
    wrath. They will
    be tormented with
    burning sulfur in
    the presence of
    the holy angels
    and of the Lamb. 
    And the smoke of
    their torment will
    rise for ever and
    ever. There will be
    no rest day or
    night for those who
    worship the beast
    and its image, or
    for anyone who
    receives the mark
    of its name.”
