Project Objective
 The aim of our project is based the
purpose of security and relaiabilty to cargo
customers and full automation for digital
tracking
NodeMCU
 The NodeMCU ESP8266 development board comes with
the ESP-12E module containing ESP8266 chip having
TensilicaXtensa 32-bit LX106 RISC microprocessor.
This microprocessor supports RTOS and operates at
80MHz to 160 MHz adjustable clock frequency.
NodeMCU has 128 KB RAM and 4MB of Flash memory
to store data and programs. Its high processing power
with in-built Wi-Fi / Bluetooth and Deep Sleep
Operating features make it ideal for IoT projects.
 NodeMCU can be powered using Micro USB jack and
VIN pin (External Supply Pin). It supports UART, SPI, and
I2C interface.

GPS/GSM SIM808
 Designed for global market, SIM808 is integrated with a high
performance GSM/GPRS engine, a GPS engine and a BT engine. The
GSM/GPRS engine is a quad-band GSM/GPRS module that works on
frequencies GSM 850MHz, EGSM 900MHz, DCS 1800MHz and PCS
1900MHz. SIM808 features GPRS multi-slot class 12/ class10
(optional) and supports the GPRS coding schemes CS-1, CS-2, CS-3
and CS-4. The GPS solution offers best-in-class acquisition and
tracing sensitivity, Time-To-First-Fix (TTFF) and accuracy.


 With a tiny configuration of 24*24*2.6mm, SIM808 can meet almost

all the space requirements in user applications, such as M2M, smart

phone, PDA, tracker and other mobile devices.

 SIM808 has 68 SMT pads, and provides all hardware interfaces

between the module and customers’ boards.

Specification
 Support 4*4*2 keypads.
 One full modem serial port.
 One USB, the USB interfaces can debug, download software.
 Audio channels which include a microphone input and a
receiver output.
 One SIM card interface.
 Charging interface.
 Programmable general purpose input and output.
 Support Bluetooth function.
 Support PWM and ADC.
 PCM/SPI/SD card interface, only one function can be
accessed synchronously. (Default function is PCM).

Working
 In this project we are going to design a Cargo Tracking System Which continuously
monitor the moving of Cargo and report the status of the Cargo on request or
demand to the user. For designing this project we used NodeMCU and GPS/GSM
sim808 for tracking purpose. Normally our project contain a cargo box which is
secured by the password.

 Now here the product who sends is defined as transmitter and the product who
receiver is defined as receiver. Here while sending the product the transmitter would
give the both transmitter and receiver number along with the positions where it has
to be received So, when the Cargo has received to the destination then the
information message would go to the transmitter.

 Similarly an OTP would receives to the receivers mobile. The cargo box is closed
through an electrical Solenoid and contains the keyword for typing the OTP . when
the Cargo box received to the receiver immediately they can type the OTP in the
cargo box. If the both the OTP matches the box will open.
 If Suppose the OTP entered is incorrect then the warning message would send to
both the transmitter and receiver. The sender and receiver can also view the position
of Cargo on a digital mapping (i.e) on Google Map.

Conclusion
We have completed the project and made a
demo test for checking the working
conditions. The modules and software
perform excellent in good tower ranges and
is a little lagging in remote areas where the
cell reception is low, but still we can locate
the cargo using this embedded project.
