1. MEETING, GREETING & INTRODUCING
MEETING is gathering of two or more people that has been convinced, for
the purpose of achieving a comman goals through verbal interaction.

GREETING is engaging in a conversation, may also ask about the state of


the person you met, it may be some one who know or some one who is not
known

At the first meeting : “How do you do”--- “How do you do”


( followed by the self introduction)
Later meeting : “How are you?” --- “I am fine, thank you”
2. HELLO AND GOODBYE

HELLO is actually greetings, it means welcome someone with certain


words or action, such as shaking hands and saying :
“How do you do” (For the first meeting)
Later on: people can say “Hello, how are you?”

GOODBYE is any words or phrase when you leave someone or someone


leaves you. It usually is followed with prayers or a wish, such as: “good
bye and good luck”
3. SOME POLITE REMARKS
POLITE REMARK is showing regards for others in manners, speech and
behaviours, such as:
 CONVEYING GREETING : Please remember me to father.
 OTHERS’ ENJOYMENT : Hmmm where are the others..?
 PLEASURE : Wao, nice to see you again..
 ENGAGEMENT : Congratulatuion
 ACHIEVEMENT : Congratulation, I am happy for you.

I’ve had a few ideas about how we can increase sales. First, i think we could
have more advertising around town, such as in the bus and train stations, and in
shopping malls, in order to reach more customers. In addition, we have some
extra space in the back of the store that we could turn into a coffee bar, where
people can relax and listen to music. If they hear something they like, they are
more likely to want to buy it before they leave. 

Finally, there are a lot of great musicians in the region. I’ve spoken to local
bands about the possibility of doing some live shows in the store, and they seem
very interested. I think this could bring in a lot of people and increase sales.

An informative speech is
one in which the speaker relays knowledge to an audience
on a specific topic.

There are four distinct types of informative speeches:


speeches about objects, speeches about processes,

The current standard approach uses aggregate supply and aggregate demand (AS-AD).
I call the alternative approach patterns of sustainable specialization and trade (PSST).
The PSST approach combines many old and new strands in economics.

The Benefices of CCU
Cross-Cultural Understanding helps us to know other people's perception from
another part of the world. We can know about other people's feelings from another
region in the world, from another country which full of different cultures. It helps us
to make a good relationship or connection to others although we are live from a
different place with a different culture, beliefs and religions. Cross-Cultural
Understanding act as a guide in our way of communicating with other people. The
point of language teaching is to be able to communicate with others, and by
communicating it’s not only
about grammar or pronunciation. 
Manners in this case also matter, so Cross-Cultural Understanding will
be beneficial to be taught to our students. So they will be able to
communicate with good manners. As the benefits for the teacher, by
studying Cross-Cultural Understanding, it can help us to understand our
students better. Because maybe someday we will have the chance to teach
abroad or we will have students from another country.

If it is not from other countries it is also not a problem, because in


Indonesia there are many different cultures, so learning about Cross
Technical Understanding will be important for teachers.
The other benefit is we can increase our respect awareness to others. This cross-
cultural understanding also enriches our culture. We can share with others and we can
get new things that we have not ever heard before. Sometimes we know that try to
communicate with other people with
a lot of differences with us is difficult.

So sometimes we need to understand them to understand their perception and


understanding how they think because their sunglasses is not the same as ours. It will
be great if we can look with each other with different sunglasses and It will be amazing
if we can see how people see the world.

university student you should better understand about it. This is why you are suggested to visit and have a work-
shop on this traditional herbal or “Jamu” which is produced in your city and after attending this work-shop, you
better make a report. This report is useful for you in practicing your oral and written exercise in English. The
report is better following the suggestion format such like the following:
