1. SIMPLE FUTURE (WIIL)
• Menyatakan sesuatu yang akan terjadi di masa yang akan
datang.
• Penggunaannya dibagi 2 yaitu : menggunakan “Will” dan “be
going to”. (be= I am, She/he/it is, You/they/we are)
• “Will” digunakan untuk mengungkapkan kejadian secara
spontan, tanpa rencana, tanpa berpikir panjang.
• “be going to” digunakan untuk mengkapkan kejadian dengan
rencana yang dibuat secara matang sebelum berbicara.
• Keterangan waktu (adverb of time): tomorrow, next year, next
month, next week, tonight, on Monday/Tuesday/Sunday etc.

I am not going to watch movie tonight.
I am not going to eat mango on Saturday.
Andi is not going to eat apple next week.
I will not eat apple.

(+) - Subject + will/shall + Verb 1 + Object
- Subject + to be (is, am, are) + going to + Verb 1 + Object
(-) - Subject + will/shall + not + Verb 1 + Object
- Subject + to be (is, am, are) + not + going to + Verb 1 + O
(?) - Will/shall + Subject + Verb 1 + Object
- to be (is, am, are) + Subject + going to + Verb 1 + Object
Contoh
(+) - They will visit my home tomorrow
- They are going to visit my home
(-) - They will not visit my home tomorrow

PENGGUNAANNYA
“WILL/SHALL”
a. Menyatakan sesuatu yang akan dilakukan tanpa dirancang dulu.
 I will eat pizza, please.
 She will help the child.
b. Menyatakan suatu ramalan (prediction).
 It will rain this afternoon.
 They will not win the game.
c. Menyatakan suatu permintaan (request), undangan (invitation)
atau kesediaan melakukan sesuatu (willingness).
 Will you open the door, please?
 Will you stay here tonight, please?
 I will answer the phone.
PENGGUNAANNYA “BE GOING
TO”
a. Menyatakan sesuatu yang akan dilakukan yang telah
direncanakan.
 He is going to bring his sister to the party tonight.
 We are going to study English this afternoon.
b. Menyatakan suatu peristiwa yang akan terjadi di waktu yang
akan datang berdasarkan suatu pertanda yang ada pada waktu
sekarang.
 Look at the black clouds. It is going to rain heavily.
 It’s 7 o’clock and you are still here. You are going to be late.
COMPLETE WITH “BE GOING
1. TO” OR “WILL”

PENGGUNAANNYA
I. Menyatakan suatu peristiwa yang akan sedang terjadi
di waktu yang akan datang.
 At noon tomorrow, I will be studying my English lesson.
 By this time next week, he will be coming back to his
village.

FUTURE PERFECT TENSE
PENGGUNAAN
I. Menyatakan suatu peristiwa yang akan sudah selesai di
waktu yang akan datang.
 At 10 pm tonight, I will have closed the door.
 (Jam 10 malam, saya akan sudah menutup pintu)
 They will have moved away by the time you come.
 (Mereka akan sudah pergi jauh ketika kamu datang)
 By next month, you ______ (receive) your promotion.
 By tomorrow, their ________ (change).
 The robbers ______ (take) the money by the time the polices
come.
FUTURE PERFECT
CONTINUOUS TENSE
PENGGUNAAN
I. Menyaatakan suatu peristiwa yang akan tengah
berlangsung selama waktu tertentu di waktu yang akan
datang.
 When she comes, I will have been doing the job for fifteen
minutes. (ketika dia datang, saya akan sudah sedang
melakukan pekerjaan selama 15 menit)
 By the next month, he will have been teaching in my school
for ten years. (Pas bulan depan, dia akan sudah sedang
mengajar di sekolah saya selama 10 tahun)
 Next year, I ______ (work) in this company for 10 years.
 They _______ (talk) for an hour when Thomas comes.
