BIFMA level®, is a multi-attribute sustainability standard and third-party certification program for the industry, it assesses the
environmental and social impact of a furniture product in a built environment while simultaneously taking into account a
company’s processes, social actions, energy usage, material selection and human and ecosystem health impacts.

In August 2012 In its drive towards sustainability, Godrej Interio (GI) has crossed yet another milestone. It has attained BIFMA
level® 2 Gold Certification for WISH, the popular system furniture range from Godrej Interio, making it the first in the Indian
furniture industry.

Hence, the BIFMA level® 2 Gold certification is an endorsement for Godrej Interio’s larger sustainability practices with focus on
design for environment, human, ecosystem health management, life cycle assessment , GHG baseline and sustainability reporting.
Greenguard
The GREENGUARD Certification Program, developed and administered by the
GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI), is an industry-independent, third-party testing
and certification program for products that emit low levels of volatile organic compounds
(VOCs), formaldehyde, aldehydes, respirable particles and other indoor air pollutants.

The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute was established in 2001, with the first product
becoming GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified in 2002. In 2005, GEI introduced the
GREENGUARD Children & Schools standard, the most stringent product emissions criteria to
date. The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute is currently developing a health-based
emission standard for residential, healthcare, educational and commercial environments.
ISO 14001 : 2004

It is an Environmental Standard has been developed by International Standards


Organization. It provides guidelines for Environment Management systems for those
environmental aspects which the organization has control and those over which it can
be expect to have an influence. Current version being used is ISO 14001:2004. An

Employee Protection Policy
Whistle Blower Policy
With a view to establish a mechanism for protecting the employees reporting unethical behaviour,
fraud, violation of Company’s Code of Conduct, the Board of Directors has adopted a Whistle
Blower Policy. During the year 2014-15, no personnel has been denied access to the Audit
Committee.

Policy to Prevent Sexual Harassment at the work place


The Company is committed to creating and maintaining an atmosphere in which employees can
work together, without fear of sexual harassment, exploitation or intimidation. Every employee
is made aware that the Company is strongly opposed to sexual harassment and that such
behaviour is prohibited both by law and by the Godrej group. The Company has formed an
Internal Complaints Committee headed by Ms. T.A. Dubash, Executive Director & Chief Brand
Officer, pursuant to the provisions of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (prevention,
Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. While the Act is applicable only to the women employees,
our company policy covers all employees.
SCAMS
Godrej employee Gold Coin fraud 2010
 
The company used to buy gold coins to give it to retailers and distributors
as an incentive for sales.
“Amit Gaine, 51, former DGM (purchase), and his two associates, Tushar
Desai, 31, and Jitendra Saini, 32, for cheating,” Sunil Deshmukh
Gaine had placed certain orders for gold illegally without any authority and
falsely projected himself as acting on behalf of the company. He forged
the signatures of a few of officials to create false purchase orders.
GCPL has also filed a complaint against Gaine, who is now in custody
His services have been terminated.
