PRAYER

Let’s put our selves in the Holy presence of our Lord.

Heavenly father , We praise and Glorify your holy name,
We thank you for all the blessings you have bestowed upon us.
Thank you for providing us the chance to continue our study.
Bless our teachers who inspire and guide us.
Bless our parent who work and support us,
and bless our classmates and friends who care for us.
We are humbly asking for your guidance as
we begin our online class today.
We asked all of these through Crist our Lord,
Amen.

Activity 1
Based from the video, answer the following
questions:
1. What is the title of the video?
Newton’s First Law of Motion
2.From the video that you watch, there are
examples of situation where in the first law
of motion is shown. cite some examples.
a. sitting in a reclined-chair and suddenly
he stand up but difficult for him to get up
b. a man running so fast but he can’t
stopped immediately or he can’t turn right
sharply.
c. a ball that is at rest and start to
move
d. a ball that is continuously rolling
3.What causes the object to stay at
rest? What causes the object to keep on
moving with the same speed and direction?
The balanced force causes the object to
stay at rest and to keep the object in
motion with the same speed and direction.
4. What kind of force makes the object
change the state of motion?
The unbalanced force makes the object
change the state of motion.
5.How do unbalanced forces cause the object to
change the state of motion? Cite an example.

When unbalanced forces act on an object at

rest, the object will move. When the unbalanced
forces act to a moving object, the speed and
direction will change.
Example. The ball on the floor in a steady
position and suddenly someone kick the ball and
start to move.
7. Why do objects resist change in its
state of motion?
The objects resist change in its state of
motion because of inertia?
8. How will you describe Law of Inertia?
If the object is at rest it will remain at
rest and if the object is in motion will
keep on moving with the same speed and
same direction unless acted upon by
unbalanced force.

1. From the video that you watched,
it says that the forces are balanced
when the net force is zero, what will
happen to the object when the
forces are unbalanced?
Ans.The object will accelerate/move.

2.what is the process involve when

the object accelerates?
Ans. Acceleration
3.what are the two factors that
affects acceleration?
Ans. The two factors that affects
acceleration are the force and the
mass

4.what will happen to the acceleration of

the object when you apply greater
force? when you lesser force?
Ans.when you apply greater force to the
object, it will accelerate faster.when
you apply lesser force, the object's
acceleration become slower.
5.what is the relationship of the
acceleration to the force?directly or
inversely proportional?
Ans.the relationship of the acceleration to
the force is directly proportional.

6.You applied same amount of force to the

two object, which object accelerates
faster?
A. The object that has 5kg.mass
B. The object that has 10kg.mass.
Explain your answer.
Ans. The object that has 5kg.mass will
accelerates faster because it has a lesser
mass.
7.What is the Mathematical
equation for Acceleration?
F = m • a
8.Describe the second law of
motion.
Ans. Acceleration is directly
proportional to the force and
inversely proportional to the
mass of the object.
The law of inertia states that, if a body is at rest or moving at
a constant speed in a straight line, it will remain at rest or
keep moving in a straight line at constant speed unless it is
acted upon by the unbalanced force.
Inertia is a property of a body or an object to resist
the change in its state of motion.
The lesser the mass of the object, the lesser is its
inertia, and it easier to change its state of
motion.
The greater the mass of the object, the greater
is its inertia, the harder it is to change its state
of motion.
Newton's second law of motion can be formally stated as follows:
The acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly
proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as
the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the object.
This verbal statement can be expressed in equation form as follows:
a = Fnet / m
The above equation is often rearranged to a more familiar form as shown
below. The net force is equated to the product of the mass times the
acceleration.
Fnet = m • a
The acceleration is directly proportional to the  net force; the net
force equals mass times acceleration; the acceleration in the same
direction as the net force; an acceleration is produced by a net force
In order to keep you safe, seat belts also need to be
worn properly. When improperly used, they may do
more harm than good. ... The truth is, seat belts can
reduce serious crash-related injuries and death by
about half, according to the CDC
Seatbelt use tends to increase risk-taking in drivers.
This could lead to an increase in more severe
accidents, which, in turn, reduces or mitigates the
effectiveness of seatbelts. They sometimes
contribute to accident-related injuries, as is
described by the term "seat belt syndrome."
What are Newton's second
law examples in everyday
life?
•Pushing a car is easier than
pushing a truck with the same
amount of force as the mass of
the car is lesser than the mass
of the truck.

•In golf game, acceleration of

the golf ball is directly
proportional to the force with
which it is hit by the golf stick.
