DIARY

QUARTER 1
My Diary
June 1, 1010

I was excited to go to school this morning. I saw my

classmate Pam. We went to our classroom. I was
shocked upon seeing our teacher. "Oh my goodness!
Our teacher is a robot.“ He talked about nouns in
plural form. He toured us in different places. He
showed us pigs. He showed us pups of pugs in a
fence. The fence is supported by wooden pegs or
sticks.
After the tour, our robot teacher told us, "Pop some
popcorn.” Then, we ate together. What a nice day!
My diary, I woke up. I was just dreaming.
Super Sam
By Mona Liza P. Perartilla

September 6, 2019

Dear Diary,
Today is a very special day. I sat under my favourite tree
and I saw my hero Super Sam! Super Sam and his friends
plow soil and sow seeds.
He can also grow with a little help from Mr.
Sun, Super Sam can grow some plants that can make us
healthy and strong. He can also grow tiny seeds into big trees
with fruits. He can grow plants that have pretty flowers like
lilies. The butterflies love these flowers.
Sam only asks that we help him take care of these plants.
So starting today I will help Super Sam in taking care of his
plants. I will water them and pull the weeds. I can be super
like Sam. I can be a hero, too!
A Trip To The Garden
By Lorna A. Cordova

August 27, 2019

Our second day of school was a trip to the school garden. “Hurry
up children,” teacher Primetech said. The sun shone brightly when
we entered the garden. “Oh, wow! How beautiful!” exclaimed Tom
who tugged along with me. “It's cool!,” Tam said.
We saw birds on branches of tall trees, thick bushes, rows of
plant boxes and colorful flowers. We went to the pond, then to the
wishing well. “I wish this is a magical garden,” said Tom.
“Teacher, are foxes and geese here? How about dwarf and fairy?”
Tam asked biting his nails with his teeth.
“No, they don't live here,” our teacher answered.
We rested for a moment, some of us sat on benches while others
on grasses. Tim played his new toy truck with the tag still on it.
“That's all for today children, on your feet now,” teacher
Primetech commanded.
I woke up. I still could not forget my robot teacher.

4:00 P.M.

Dear Diary,

Today, Quinn, Louis and I go to the restaurant and

process our order. We have three glasses of fruit juices, a big
plate of pizza tornados and a six challah bread. I hope my
nephews and niece from across the sea can one day share the
experience with us here. I miss them dearly.

I think these days, I’m making progress in my writing
session.

Will be writing soon again.

Yok, the Old Yak

May 1, 2020

Dear Diary,
My father brought a bagful of yam from the farm today. He
loaded them on a cart and let Yok, the yak pulled it all the way
home.
On their way, a man from Japan offered him to buy Yok for
hundreds of yen. My father refused and offered him to take the
yams instead because Yok is not for sale. The man got sad and
went away. When my father reached home, he told us what
happened,and we all hugged Yok.
Yup, we may not have hundreds and hundreds of yen, but
nothing can be exchanged for our good old yak, Yok.

My Diary
June 5, 1019

It was Saturday. I woke up late that day. I was

too dub that I almost fell from my bed. I was in a hurry to
go outside to see Missy, the talking cat. But what I saw
was a puppy in the den and the morning dew that touched
my feet. I went back to my room thinking about Missy.

Missy was a talking cat in my dream. I dreamt

last night! Do you think I can talk to her again?
Definitely, no! Missy is not real. She’s only a fantasy in
my dream.
I remembered the last dialogue I had with Missy.
I would be helping her write the plural of nouns. I would
do it for her even though she was just a dream. I got my
notebook and made a list of the plural of nouns. I wrote
zoo – zoos; radio – radios; kangaroo – kangaroos; photo –
photos; piano – pianos; solo – solos; memo – memos; auto
– autos; tattoo – tattoos; video – videos; studio – studios;
and soprano – sopranos. I think Missy will be happy for
this!
Hopefully, Missy will receive the list when I dream of
her again tonight. I pray that the bird will not fly the list
away to the dag or even fall it to a dam. Do you believe
that I can give the list of the plural form of nouns to
Missy? What do you think?
Sparkling Gold Bottle
By Khrystyne Mae L. Aguilar

It was a fine day. My family and I decided to go to the beach.

It was a happy day for me, for my brother, Jimmy and for our
dog, Wiggle. When we arrived at the beach, we were all sad
because we saw some wad of papers, plastics and other kinds of
waste. Instead of swimming, we decided to clean up the shore to
help our ocean for not having some more.

While we are on our way picking some trash, “What’s that?”

Jimmy said, looking at the sparkling gold bottle floating near the
shore and Wiggle kept on barking on what we saw. When we
opened the bottle, a video from web popped up with a guy in wig
and wings talking about how to form plural nouns ending in “o”
just like for example, the words hero, echo and tomato. They all
ended with “o”.
It was said that if the noun ended with “o”, you needed to add
-es. For hero, it would be heroes; echo to echoes; tomato to
tomatoes. There were lots of examples that we could learn on. My
brother and I were so happy learning all of those.

Suddenly, when I was about to write something on my notes

about what learned today I felt something wet. It was Wiggle’s
licking at me. Then, I realized I was just dreaming. Yes, we were
really on the beach but I got tired swimming that’s why I fell
asleep.
