INTRODUCTION
Autonomous movement of vehicle is guided by the logic controller designed. Robots plays an important
role in each every field of life. It is used in industries, in households and in institution. Various robotics
parts are:-
Pneumatic devices
Actuators
Mechanical control devices like valve
Mechanical control devices are used to control the flow or movement of materials or any other parts
present in the device. Actuators are used for controlling a mechanism which ultimately controls a part of
the device.
Microcontroller is the brain of robot where program is written and sensors are connected as input and
actuators as output. The controlling of the robot is governed by various algorithms like fuzzy controller,
machine learning based practices and artificial knowledge.
3. HELP TO MANKIND
Controlling provides various advantages over human powered work. Following are some of them:-
It gives accurate results and eliminates possibility of manual error.
It is very first and efficient and the control system used in industries are 100 times efficient than human
work.
In some part of the work areas it lessens the human efforts. Washing machine comes under this category.
It also plays the great role in bringing entertainment in human life in different work.

HISTORY
 Electric powered floor cleaning machines were first introduced in the early 1900s, right
around the same time vacuum cleaners came out. The first floor machines were known
as divided-weight machines. With these machines, the bulk of the weight of the machine
was on its rear wheels, which remained on the floor during operation. The buffer rolled
in a push-pull fashion over the floor for both scrubbing and polishing.
 The brushes used on these early machines were made of vegetable fibers that had been
used for centuries as floor scrubbers and also for polishing. To polish wood floors,
carnauba wax would be applied to the floor, and then polished to a shine by going back
and forth over the floor with the buffer.
 These early divided-weight machines were slow and heavy to push but not heavy
enough to put sufficient pressure on the brush. They did not clean terribly well and
proved difficult for most people to maneuver. The major benefits for the user were that
the machines were faster and less strenuous to use than polishing a floor by hand.
 It didn’t take long for the machine manufacturers to realize that more pressure on the
brush was necessary to properly scrub and polish floors. This led to the birth of the
swing machine, which centered its weight on the brush; the rear wheels lifted off the
floor during operation.
APPLICATIONS OF FCR

 Large Area Floor Cleaning Machines. Linoleum Floor Cleaning Machines

 Swimming Pool Tile Cleaning. Bathroom Cleaning Machines

 Fabric Furniture Cleaning Equipment.

 Restaurant Cleaning Equipment.

 Hotel Room Cleaning Equipment.

 Airports Steam Cleaners.

 Exercise Fitness Equipment Cleaning.

 Food & Beverage Conveyor Belts Cleaning.

SCOPE OF ROBOTICS
 Duct Cleaning Robots
 Duct cleaning can be expensive due to the labor-intensive nature of the job and a
certain level of specialty it requires.
 In addition to improving indoor air quality, regular duct cleaning can also lower
cooling and heating costs, making it an especially valuable service for clients
seeking environmental certifications.

 Special-Purpose Cleaning Robots

 Healthcare facilities, while they often appear spotless, can harbor bacteria even
after a thorough cleaning
HUMAN ROBOTS INTERACTION
 The robot has to be able to communicate its intentions to
the human

 Output has to be easy to understand by humans

 Robot has to be able to encode its intention

 Interface has to keep human’s attention without annoying her

 Speech synthesis

LAYOUT OF PROJECT
 Belt-Pulley mechanism
 Slider arrangement
 Legs
 Motor
 Structure
 Shafts
 Bearings
 Power Supply
METHODOLOGY OF PROJECT
 First we make the frame using iron by welding different
rods
 Then we fit the motor on frame by nut bolts

 After that we fit a blower . It sucks the dust from the

floor and sends it to the container
 (Remaining work) we should add viper and mop and
supply power through AC mains
 The machine moves with the help of chain drive through
A/C motor
MECHANISM
 Chain Drive : A chain-drive system uses one or more roller chains to
transmit power from a differential to the rear axle. This system allowed for
a great deal of vertical axle movement (for example, over bumps), and was
simpler to design and build than a rigid driveshaft in a workable
suspension.
