Reference point
Make minimum 3 reference point and cross check to ensure correct position of casing-toe before
driving to avoid re-work
Casing Driving of Marine pile
Checking
Verticality
During boring maintain water level up to Ground Level or below1 meter to Avoid Pile Collapses
Provide safety barriers around open bore holess
Quality Issues – Measuring depth
Ensure to check sounding after removing of each/every two bucket to avoid pile collapse, if there is any
unexpected sounding immediately stop boring & fill water up to GL then inform to site supervisor

Quality issues during Tremie lowering & Concreting
Ensure that during concreting Tremie pipe always should be in center position
Quality issue after tremie lowering
Ensure to put the charging ball in side tremie pipe before connecting the concrete hose to avoid trapped
air in the pipe
Quality issue during Tremie lowering
Ensure to check all tremie lock before put into the bore hole
Quality issue during Flushing
Ensure to check that slump and Temperature has been checked before start pouring
Quality issue during concrete pouring
Make sure concrete pouring should continue up to 0.750 – 1 Meter above from the cut off level or make
overflow to get good quality of concrete at cut off level.
AND NOW FOR THE TESTING!!!
2. What would be the water level in the bore hole during boring?
a. 3m above GL b. Maintain up to GL c. 3m below GL
4. What would be the final fresh concrete level from cut-off level?
a. 3.0-4.0m above b. 0.750 – 1.0m above c. up to cut-off level
