they would in an aquarium. Bais is about 45 kilometers north of
Dumaguete City. Traveling to Bais is approximately 1 hour.
The best time to see those amazing creatures is in the morning
hours just after sunrise.

In order to get to Bindoy, take bus or van for only 120
pesos from Dumaguete City to Bindoy which will take
about 2 hours. You will pass the following municipalities
and cities: Sibulan, San Jose, Amlan, Tanjay, Bais, and
Manjuyod. Upon arriving the town proper of Bindoy,
you must take a habal-habal to the JJ Island that is used today
as the boat terminal going to Mantalip Reef. It will take
10 minutes from the shores of Bindoy to the Mantalip Reef. In
order to get a ride, you must contact the Office of Bindoy for
the transportation.

Tayasan is 70 km northwest of Dumaguete City.
It is 2 and a half hours of traveling.

Maaslum Falls used to be called Pagsalsalan Falls. Twin waterfalls
that flows over silica deposits and sulfur while the falls is shaded with
flora. It is 2 hours travel from Dumaguete City.

Niludhan Falls is the pride and joy of Negros Oriental.
It is a natural attraction that has yet to be explored by most.
This waterfalls is hidden deep within the city’s forests and sugarcane
plantations.
It is located in Barangay Dawis which is 43 kilometers away
from the city proper. The place is ideal for bungee-jumping, swimming,
and picnics.
HOW TO GET THERE?

Dumaguete – Bayawan Route. Ride a Ceres bus near Robinson's Place
mall headed to Bayawan City. This is approximately a 2-3 hour ride.
From there, ride a bus to Mabinay. Then tell the driver/conductor you
will go down at Niludhan Falls. The walk to the falls from the main road isn’t long.
Dumaguete – Mabinay Route. Ride a Ceres bus bound to

Mabinay and go down at Paniabonan Junction. This is also around 2-3 hours.
From there, you have the choice of either riding another bus that passes
Niludhan falls.
Other Option :
From Paniabonan Junction, you can ride a motorcycle
(habal-habal ride) It will take you straight to Niludhan falls also.

Siaton that can be reach through busses
which will take an hour of travel from Dumaguete
City, the Capital City of Negros Oriental.
If you are a foreigner, catch a plane for Manila; the capital
City of the Philippines. Once you are in the Philippines,
specifically in Manila, book a flight going to Dumaguete City
Negros Oriental. While you are Manila, you can try to book
for Antulang Beach Resort through their outlet; just try to ask
the tourism office in the airport.

In the town of Valencia, Negros Oriental located 9.4
kilometers west of Dumaguete City lies the beautiful
Casaroro Falls considered to be the most photographed
waterfall in the entire Negros province.
Valencia is less than an hour drive from Dumaguete
City downtown area. Commuters take a multi cab
or jeep from Dumaguete City. Fare is less than
P20 and the unloading point is in central Valencia.
From there, you take another 30 minute ride to a certain
spot alongside the mountain. Then the hike begins.

Pulangbato Falls is located in the Ocoy Valley in the
town of Valencia Negros Oriental. It is aptly named so because
of the waterfall’s seemingly red river water which
is caused by the presence of natural reddish rocks found in the area.
Pula is the native word for red while bato, for rock.
