When you recruit a new team
member, what's your priority?
 to focus on tasks by explaining the first
year's objectives to him or her ( Task
Orientation)
OR
 do you spend time understanding his
strengths and interests so you can give
him tasks that he'll enjoy ( People
Orientation)
Theorists
The Blake Mouton Managerial Grid is
based on two behavioral dimensions:

 Concern for People: The degree to which a

leader considers team members' needs,
interests and areas of personal development
when deciding how best to accomplish a task.
 Concern for Results: The degree to which a
leader emphasizes concrete objectives,
organizational efficiency and high productivity
when deciding how best to accomplish a task.
